About the role

MyFitnessPal is investing in creators as a scalable growth channel. As Influencer Marketing Manager, you will lead the day-to-day execution of our influencer program while owning how we measure its success and demonstrate its return on investment. You will manage a team of influencer specialists and work directly with talent, agents, and internal partners.

What you'll do

Day-to-day execution

  • Oversee creator communications and provide hands-on support throughout the partnership lifecycle, from outreach and onboarding to briefing, content delivery, payment and performance analysis
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with creators, talent managers, and agencies to drive loyalty, preferred rates, and repeat partnerships
  • Evaluate incoming and proposed influencer deals, determining which are worth pursuing based on audience fit, performance potential, and cost
  • Directly manage relationships with celebrity and macro influencers, including negotiation oversight and content planning
  • Review creator content to ensure it meets brand standards, messaging requirements, and campaign objectives
  • Track influencer performance against established KPIs and report results to stakeholders on a regular cadence

Program management

  • Manage influencer budgets and allocate spend across creators, tiers, and platforms to maximize return
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Brand, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, Legal, Finance) to support ongoing marketing campaigns and integrate creator activity into broader plans
  • Lead, coach, and develop influencer specialists who negotiate creator contracts, setting priorities, deal guidelines, and quality standards
  • Improve existing automations and build new automated processes (e.g., outreach, tracking, reporting, payments) to increase team efficiency and scalability

Strategy and measurement

  • Develop influencer strategies and programs aligned with overall brand and business objectives
  • Research industry trends, emerging platforms, and competitor activity, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Determine how we define and measure program success, including the KPIs, benchmarks, and reporting framework used across the organization
  • Own our approach to conversion measurement, including attribution methodology and tracking tools, so creator activity can be credibly tied to downstream results such as installs, trials, and paid subscriptions

What you'll bring

  • 5-7 years of experience in influencer, creator, or social media marketing, including experience managing celebrity or macro talent
  • Proven experience managing budgets and negotiating or overseeing creator contracts
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in attribution, performance reporting, and ROI analysis
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube creator ecosystems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in health, fitness, nutrition, or consumer subscription apps
  • Familiarity with mobile measurement partners, affiliate platforms, and creator management tools
  • Experience with AI tools and automations a plus

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
