THE ROLE: Impact Investing Intern

We are looking for an Impact Investing Intern. You will engage in the investment process, gaining exposure and significant deal experience across multiple stages. This involves sourcing, screening, and conducting due diligence on venture capital investment opportunities. You will develop strong analytical skills by performing financial analysis and building financial models to assess potential investments, developing written memos, and creating presentation materials for the investment committee. Further, the role includes performing industry research to develop and test investment theses. You’ll gain practical experience in portfolio monitoring and impact performance measurement, learning to use tools like Affinity CRM for managing deal flow. The internship provides exposure to the fusion of education, workforce development, and capital markets, offering a rich understanding of impact investing strategies. Networking with leading professionals in the field, this role also prepares you for potential full-time positions in impact-focused organizations.
What You’ll Do:
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and technical savvy.
- Source, screen, and conduct due diligence on venture capital investment opportunities.
- Perform financial analysis and build financial models to assess potential investments.
- Develop written memos and presentation materials summarizing investment perspectives.
- Conduct industry research to develop and test investment theses.
- Assist with portfolio monitoring and impact performance measurement.
- Learn to use Affinity CRM and manage deal flow within the platform.
- Support the overall investment process from initial lead identification through execution and monitoring.
About You:
- Interest in and commitment to pursuing a career in Private Equity/Impact Investing.
- Strong academic record.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to synthesize large amounts of data clearly.
- Ability to work effectively both in team settings and autonomously.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and strong research and critical thinking skills.
- High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
- Experience or interest in the education and workforce development sectors is a plus, but not required.
Hourly Rate: $20.00/hr

We take a total compensation approach, meaning we look beyond salary alone to support, reward, and recognize the whole individual.
