About the Role
Commure is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Immigration Program Manager to manage and execute employment-based immigration processes across the company. This role will work closely with the Legal and People teams to independently drive case preparation and ensure full compliance with applicable laws and timelines. Outside counsel will be engaged only for complex or novel matters - this role is expected to own day-to-day filings and documentation directly.
What You'll Do
Prepare, file, and track employment-based immigration cases including H-1B, O-1, L-1, TN, F-1/OPT/CPT, PERM, and green cards (EB-1/EB-2/EB-3).
Complete forms and draft case materials (support letters, employment verifications, etc.) using internal templates, escalating to counsel only where needed
Maintain organized digital immigration records, including public access files, PERM audit files, and I-9 documentation
Liaise directly with employees to collect documentation, provide case updates, and offer immigration guidance throughout the process
Manage case timelines, renewal calendars, and internal reports to ensure no lapses or missed deadlines
Coordinate with HR to support onboarding, role changes, and offboarding for immigration-impacted employees
Track metrics, flag compliance risks, and suggest process improvements to streamline filings and internal workflows
Serve as the main point of contact with outside immigration counsel for complex filings, RFEs, or legal strategy calls
What You'll Have
7-10+ years of hands-on experience in U.S. employment-based immigration, ideally in-house or at a high-volume firm
Strong working knowledge of USCIS and DOL processes for temporary visas and PERM-based green cards
Experience filling out and managing USCIS/DOL forms and support materials directly
Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills; able to build trust with candidates, employees, HR, and external counsel
Familiarity with immigration case tracking tools (e.g., INSZoom, Tracker) is a plus
