The Institutional Equities Division (IED) in Boston is in need of an Equities Salesperson.

Duties include:

• Coverage responsibility for institutional equity clients – hedge funds and asset managers 

• Act as the liaison to investors for equities content, ideas, research, and firm resources

• Develop external relationships that will lead to commercial opportunities for the firm 

Qualifications - External

• Desire/interest in equity markets

• Flexibility with working hours and occasional travel for client meetings

• Ability to perform duties pro-actively, reliably, and accurately without constant supervision

• Well organized and showing initiative

• Team player, open-minded

• Effective communications and persuasive ability

Regular Contacts and Reporting Relationships:

• Regular contacts with clients (in person, phone, bloomberg, and e-mail)

• Contact with Equity Sales Team

• Contact with other divisions within Morgan Stanley

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $115,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
