We are seeking an IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Demand Data Product Owner to join our Supply Chain Analytics & Data Governance team. This mid-level individual contributor role sits at the intersection of Integrated Business Planning, data governance, and advanced analytics. The successful candidate will own the IBP demand data domain end-to-end — driving data quality, defining standards, and building actionable analytics that power planning decisions across the enterprise.
This is a hybrid analytics and governance role. You will both govern the data and build with it — developing Power BI dashboards, writing advanced SQL, and leveraging AI/ML capabilities to accelerate insights and decision-making.Job DescriptionData Governance & IBP Demand Domain
- Own the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Demand data domain within the enterprise data governance framework, serving as the subject matter expert for all demand-related data flowing through Kinaxis.
- Establish and maintain data definitions, business glossaries, and calculation standards for IBP demand data elements (e.g., Forecast Accuracy, Net Requirements Attainment, Demand Bias).
- Define, monitor, and enforce data quality KPIs and SLAs across the IBP demand data pipeline; conduct periodic proactive audits.
- Collaborate with Data Stewards, COE Leads, Segments, and Regional teams to drive data accuracy, trustworthiness, and consistent adoption of certified data products.
- Represent the IBP Demand domain in data governance committees; enforce governance policies in alignment with the enterprise framework.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis; implement preventative controls and process improvements.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that translate IBP demand data into actionable insights for supply chain planning stakeholders.
- Write advanced SQL to extract, transform, and validate demand data from enterprise data platforms (e.g., Redshift, data warehouse); build reusable query frameworks and data pipelines.
- Partner with Supply Chain Analytics Product Owners to align reporting standards, KPI definitions, and data layer dependencies across the analytics ecosystem.
- Leverage Python for data automation, statistical analysis, and exploratory data science — including forecast model validation, bias detection, and pipeline automation.
- Apply AI and machine learning techniques to IBP demand analytics use cases: develop or evaluate ML models for demand forecasting enhancement, automate anomaly detection, and integrate LLM/GenAI tooling to accelerate insights delivery.
- Build and manage a product roadmap for IBP demand data products in partnership with COE leaders and the Data Owner; prioritize features and enhancements against business value.
- Translate business requirements into clear data product specifications; oversee delivery with IT partners, maintaining accountability for commitments.
- Lead adoption efforts for certified data products: develop training plans, standard work documentation, and change management materials.
- Communicate data product status, quality metrics, and roadmap updates to Director/VP-level leadership in a clear, executive-ready format.
- Collaborate with the Central Digital Transformation team to align IBP demand data products with the enterprise digital product roadmap.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in supply chain analytics, data governance, demand planning, or a directly related analytics discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL — complex, production-grade queries including window functions, CTEs, dynamic logic, and multi-source joins across large-scale data platforms.
- Hands-on Power BI development experience — report and dashboard design, DAX, data modeling, and publishing to Power BI Service.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data governance principles: data quality management, metadata standards, business glossaries, and data stewardship practices.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills — able to translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders and influence without authority.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytics (pandas, numpy, SQLAlchemy); ML libraries a strong plus.
- Applied experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning — including hands-on development or deployment of predictive models, LLM/GenAI application development, and prompt engineering for enterprise supply chain workflows.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse.
