Job Description:

   

We are seeking a Hybrid Cloud Business Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of a service segment of significant scope and complexity at the country, region or worldwide level. Includes but is not limited to development, implementation and governance of product service or solution portfolio lifecycle management, revenue growth programs through the appropriate routes to market. Includes but is not limited to achieving revenue, profit and/or TCE goals for that segment/entity. The Business Manager role is critical to the orders and revenue plan. The Hybrid Cloud business manager resolves our most complex business issues that prevent us from booking orders and recognizing revenue. They are directly customer and partner facing in negotiations and resolution of issues.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead complex negotiations and resolve business issues to accelerate deal closure

  • In partnership with DM, S ales Leadership, Legal, Compliance, Finance, GRRO, Solution Operations, Delivery, depending on the situation:
  • Clarify scope and customer requirements to ensure alignment, including contractual language
  • Provide leadership to facilitate resolution of business issues standing in the way of a deal closure            

2. Collaborate with sales to develop a sales & pricing strategy

  • Collaborate with sales and pursuit teams to develop or validate a sales strategy, price to win, and contract structure to accommodate.

3. Lead Non Standard Policy approval

  • Provide sales with approvable options to mitigate NSP approvals. Collaborate with Tax, Controllership, Finance compliance, GRRO, EFR, Geo & WW-CFO to obtain approval and appropriate course of action.

4. Innovation & subject matter expertise

  • WW projects (FAST template, Datasheets quality improvement, Icertus, contract playbook, Aruba GreenLake, streamlining global inbound process)
  • Regional initiatives (Standardizing Public Sector contract terms, BMO seed program, merged Complete Care & GreenLake terms, PCE change order development, order to revenue initiative)

5. Leadership to resolve business issues that emerge prior to invoicing start

  • To enforce contract terms around system term start or delay fees
  • To handle third party providers charges (colo, 3P SW)
  • To rectify ordering or solutioning issues (missed/wrong items ordered, substitution of items)
  • LRF variation due to long shipment and install time

6. Leadership to resolve business issues during the contract term and end of term

  • Handle all business issues during deal lifecycle:  e.g. wording interpretation, scope creep, early termination, lease coverage, issues that affect multiple accounts
  • For FED – Collaborate with HPEFS on non-appropriation situations that materialize
  • Provide guidance on end-of-term renewal options and extension requests.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Typically, 12+ years to demonstrate mastery of Service Business Management.
  • Advanced experience in several of the related disciplines of delivery, solution architecting or business planning prior to taking business management role.
     

Knowledge and Skills:

  • High knowledge of IT and services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the company's organization and policies, services offerings, end to end processes, tools, and routes to market.
  • Unique mastery and recognized authority in area of responsibility. Need solid technical, and state-of- the-art functional, or business knowledge.
  • Highly developed problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, develop relationships across organizations and accomplish goals under pressure situations. Strong skills in exercising independent judgment.
  • The ability to correctly design reports and interpret their output.
  • Highly developed project/ program management and change management skills. Solid understanding of business planning methods and business acumen.
  • Excellent presentation skills. Highly developed negotiation/ influencing skills.
  • Strong business acumen (contractual/financial). 
  • A problem solver and leader (know how to work across the company to fix business problems).
  • Understand Greenlake.

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $115,500.00 - $266,000.00
