How You Will Make an Impact
- Deliver strategic HR support by partnering with leadership to address business challenges and implement effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal employment laws including FLSA, FMLA and ADAAA to minimize risk
- Oversee all aspects of employee relations, ensuring company policies are administered fairly and consistently
- Guide and support managers and supervisors with performance management, employee development and organizational change
- Manage recruitment and staffing processes, design retention strategies and ensure compliance with EEO, FCC and Affirmative Action
- Conduct and oversee employee investigations, escalated issues, unemployment and workers compensation claims
- Supervise payroll processing, commission reporting, HRIS database maintenance and departmental expenses
- Lead and develop direct reports, oversee HR communications and participate in company-wide initiatives and labor relations programs
Working Conditions
- This position observes a hybrid work schedule: 4 days in office/1 day remote
- Office/call center environment
What You Will Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organizational behavior or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience
- 5+ years of human resources generalist experience in a multi-location environment
Skills
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Communicate clearly and effectively in writing and orally, public speaking proficiency
- Interact with all levels of management and personnel
- Project management and leadership abilities
- Supervisory skills to manage and develop others
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Effective prioritization, organization, and initiative,
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure
- Proficiency with PC and MS Office applications
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of employment laws and procedures at all levels
- Understanding of recruitment trends and technologies
- Familiarity with wage and hour laws, staffing practices and employee relations procedures

- Certification for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR)
