 Human Resources Generalist

 Location: Wilbraham Office
Reports To: CFO / CEO
FLSA Status: Exempt 

Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the people and culture of the organization. This position is responsible for managing and supporting the full range of HR functions, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, training and development, and regulatory compliance.

In partnership with leadership, this role helps shape and maintain HR policies and practices that support company goals, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure consistent, fair, and compliant application of HR programs across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and is comfortable balancing day-to-day HR operations with long-term organizational support.

Requirements


Required Skills & Abilities of the Human Resources Generalist:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills 
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively 
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools 
  • Ability to learn and effectively use HRIS and talent management systems 
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required 
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience preferred, ideally in a generalist role 
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred 
Additional Requirement
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly between company locations
