MachineMetrics, a leader in IoT platforms for machines, is seeking a talented Jr. Accountant to join our team! 

About the Role:

Your job will be to run various administrative functions at MachineMetrics ranging from billing & collections, maintaining licenses & compliance, to various HR administrative tasks. This position will report to the Controller and work closely with the Director of PeopleOps to ensure smooth business operations across Accounting and HR.

Daily tasks to include:

  • Customer invoicing collections
  • Assist with journal entries
  • Weekly deposits and cash posting
  • Reviewing customer aging and maintaining follow-up of delinquent accounts
  • Registering new states for business licenses, assist in ensuring compliance with employment laws along with state and payroll regulations
  • I-9 verifications for new employees
  • Managing the onboarding checklist for new hires
  • Managing the offboarding checklist for terminations
  • Executive scheduling & zoom hosting for team meetings and interviews
  • Maintaining & uploading receipts for executive charges within expense management system
  • Collecting & sorting mail to ensure proper routing by department
  • Assisting in planning company events
  • Payroll
  • Recruiting coordination with hiring managers and candidates   

You may be the right fit for this role if you are:

  • 2 or more years of relevant experience
  • Organized and effective at multi-tasking
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic, fluid and fast-paced environment
  • A self-starter - ability to take ownership of tasks with little oversight
  • Comfortable maintaining confidential information
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Tech-saavy & able to learn new systems/adapt quickly
  • Able to visit our Northhampton office at least 2x/week
