This roll* owns the execution of day-to-day activities to keep our people data accurate and up-to-date, directly impacting the experience of employees and managers and ensuring that business runs smoothly. An ideal candidate would be a strong and empathetic leader with the ability to troubleshoot and de-escalate, and demonstrate unparalleled process optimization skills.
Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and detail-oriented person to join our People Operations Team. The People Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading a group of People Operations specialists and overseeing day-to-day operations, tasks, and projects supporting the People Team.
This is a great opportunity to have a direct, positive impact on the full-cycle employee experience for Toasters, including onboarding, employee record management, process improvement, system implementation, and off-boarding. The People Operations Team Lead will be a coach who develops skills and talent on the People Operations Team and is comfortable overseeing the handling of highly confidential information. The Team Lead will help the team prioritize work and balance workloads, while also managing multiple projects and team-wide initiatives as we evolve our processes and scale globally.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Coach, develop, and oversee day-to-day activities of the People Operations team.
- Monitor volume and activity within ServiceNow and Workday, and balance workloads to enable the team to achieve service levels.
- Regularly review the team’s work to ensure process and regulatory compliance as well as a quality customer experience.
- Manage data accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of employee information in our HR systems.
- Analyze and resolve escalated issues to ensure prompt and accurate resolution.
- Close training gaps and provide team members with ongoing coaching, development, and job shadows to enable them to build their skills and knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes, and keep process documentation current. Train team on any updates.
- Proactively drive and lead cross functional process improvement initiatives; collaborate towards a more productive process that improves the customer’s experience.
- Manage special projects and perform other related duties as necessary.

The ideal candidate in this role will be an employee-focused leader and a coach who is customer-oriented, has strong organization skills, and the ability to manage multiple high priority tasks with tight deadlines, while maintaining impeccable attention to detail and accuracy. Additional qualifications are:
- Experience working in a HR department or HR shared service center with a minimum of 3 years experience.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize excellent judgment and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with confidential information and maintain discretion.
- Experience with Workday or ServiceNow preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Resources related field preferred.
