What we’re looking for

This role reports to the Senior Manager of People Operations and will join a collaborative, high impact team focused on delivering exceptional employee experiences across the globe.  As the HR representative, you will be responsible for overseeing our immigration and global mobility programs, and play a critical role in supporting our workforce and ensuring a smooth, compliant experience. You'll be a key player in ensuring a smooth and compliant experience for our employees, collaborating closely with teams like Recruiting, People Partners, and Total Rewards. You'll also work to ensure our programs and policies adhere to relevant employment laws. What you’ll be working on

  • Own and lead all aspects of SurveyMonkey’s Immigration program, staying up to date on evolving global immigration laws and ensuring full compliance with regulations
  • Manage and improve end-to-end global mobility processes, including international assignments, temporary travel, transfers, and relocations. 
  • Serve as the primary adviser and point of contact for immigration and relocation needs, collaborating closely with employees, managers and external counsel to guide and support throughout the process. 
  • Oversee all visa petitions and work permits, working with external counsel to ensure timely and compliant filings. 
  • Partner with relocation vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless transitions for employees, including reviewing and processing vendor invoices and managing program budgets.
  • Track and report on mobility program metrics, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Provide support to the broader HR team with operational tasks as needed.

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 2+ years of experience in corporate immigration, global mobility, and/or compliance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical mindset
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • GMS (Global Mobility Specialist) certification.
  • Experience with employment law and its application in a global context.

The base pay provided for this position ranges from $61,455 / year - $72,300 / year depending on the geographic market and assuming a full-time schedule. Actual base pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education or training, skills, and experience.
Bonuses and commissions may also be offered as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; paid holidays; paid time off; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.

SurveyMonkey believes in-person collaboration is valuable for building relationships, fostering community, and enhancing our speed and execution in problem-solving and decision-making. As such, you will be required to work from a SurveyMonkey office up to 1 day per week.
