Who we are:

Step into the revolution. Arena Club is not just disrupting the collectibles market—we’re igniting a seismic shift in the industry. Imagine being part of a company that will soon be a household name, one that visionary leaders like 5x World Series Champion Derek Jeter and trailblazing entrepreneur Brian Lee are propelling into the stratosphere. We’re redefining sports cards and memorabilia with the first-ever digital card show, built on rock-solid trust, transparency, and an exhilarating passion for the game. This is your chance to join the team before we become the next Uber or Google of collectibles.

We're looking for a Human Resources Manager to help us create a people-first culture from the ground up.

This is a unique opportunity for someone early in their HR career to take the next step and build HR systems, policies, and practices. You’ll be crucial in shaping how we support, and develop our team. We need someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and take charge of our HR functions for long-term success.

What you’ll be doing:

Build HR Foundations:

  • Create and implement core HR policies, systems, and processes (e.g., onboarding, PTO, compliance, employee handbook, etc.)

Recruiting Support:

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs.

  • Manage the recruiting process from end to end, including job postings, interviewing candidates, and improving interview processes.

Employee Experience:

  • Establish and lead initiatives that foster a great workplace culture, including engagement programs, performance check-ins, and more.

HR Operations:

  • Own the day-to-day HR functions such as maintaining employee records, managing HR tools/systems, benefits administration, and compliance.

People Partner:

  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees on all things HR.

Scalable Growth:

  • Help lay the groundwork for future HR programs such as learning & development, compensation planning, and more.

What you bring:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in HR, People Ops, or a related function, ideally in a high-growth start-up or tech environment.

  • Compliance & Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with HR best practices and labor laws.

  • Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail—you love bringing structure to chaos.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Adaptability: You’re proactive, curious, and eager to grow. You’re excited by the idea of building something from scratch.

  • HR Tools Experience: Hands-on experience with HR tools and software like Rippling, or similar.

  • Bonus: experience with early stage start-ups or small teams.

What we offer:

  • Impact: You’ll be joining a fast-moving team where your contributions will have a direct and visible impact on our growth and culture.

  • Salary: $80-100k based on a candidate’s skills and experience.

  • Competitive Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package, covering health, dental, and vision.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
