As an HR Generalist, you'll manage HRIS operations, employee relations, onboarding processes, benefit administration, and support M&A integration, ensuring compliance and a thriving workplace culture.
At Livefront, we help companies design and build world-class digital products that command attention and inspire joy. We’ve helped household names like Target, Samsung, General Mills, and Optum create experiences that have reached millions of people, and startups like HomeSpotter and Credly build entirely new businesses that challenge their industries’ status quo.
We're looking for an outstanding HR Generalist to join our team. *You must reside in/near Minneapolis, MN, or Dallas, TX, to be eligible for this position!
Who you are
You’re a seasoned People Operations professional who brings both precision and care to your work. You’re energized by creating exceptional employee experiences, and you understand how thoughtful HR practices can fuel a thriving business. You’ve supported high-performing digital product teams and have a proven ability to build systems that scale without losing their human touch. You’re organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a deep appreciation for getting the little things right. You know that excellence in operations is a form of care.
You’re also an empathetic and confident communicator who creates genuine excitement about the employee experience. You move through sensitive, complex, and confidential situations with discretion and professionalism. Most of all, you’re someone who sees HR not as policy enforcement, but as a craft—one rooted in trust, growth, and the belief that people do their best work when they feel seen, supported, and inspired.
What you will be doing
- Administer the HRIS (Rippling), ensuring data accuracy and consistent use across processes such as onboarding, benefits, and employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage employee relations by providing guidance and support on sensitive workplace matters with discretion and empathy.
- Facilitate onboarding, offboarding, and leave management for employees.
- Coordinate with the recruiting team to facilitate background checks and other pre-hire requirements before onboarding.
- Administer employee benefits, including health, retirement, and ancillary plans.
- Serve as the primary contact for annual benefit renewals, open enrollment, and ongoing benefits education.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports to support strategic planning and compliance needs.
- Support audits, reporting, and documentation requests as needed.
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure timely and accurate compensation, and resolve any discrepancies in collaboration with finance and employees.
- Support the administration and documentation of performance management in coordination with managers and leadership.
- Own internal communications related to team updates, milestones, and celebrations, helping cultivate a vibrant and connected company culture.
- Support M&A integration activities by coordinating HR systems, policies, communications, and employee onboarding to ensure a smooth and consistent experience across teams.
- Support employee engagement and retention with thoughtful consideration for culture and clear communication plans.
- Track and manage award submissions (e.g., Best Places to Work, Fast 50, Inc. 5000), including completing nomination forms and gathering supporting materials.
Why you should apply
- You want to work with passionate and talented people who are always looking for ways to make things better.
- You strive to foster a work environment where respect, mutual trust, and egoless collaboration are paramount.
- You want colleagues who take their work seriously but not themselves, and who know how to let loose and have a good time.
- You like being part of a team that has a reputation for excellence and gives back to the community by educating, mentoring, and sponsoring.
- You believe in sweating the details, giving a damn about quality, and taking pride in going the extra mile.
What you bring to the table
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently represent Livefront’s values with clarity, empathy, and professionalism.
- A strong operational mindset with at least 4 years of HR experience, ideally in a digital product or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in administering employee benefits programs and acting as the primary point of contact for vendors and employees.
- Proven experience maintaining compliant and well-organized employee records, and supporting HR audits and reporting processes.
- Familiarity with administering and optimizing HR systems (bonus points if you’ve used Rippling), including data management and process automation.
- Experience coordinating and improving onboarding programs that deliver high-quality, consistent experiences for new hires.
- Comfort navigating M&A processes, with experience supporting HR system integration, onboarding, and employee communications.
- A practical understanding of change management principles and a track record of helping teams adapt during periods of organizational transition.
- High personal organization, attention to detail, and a reputation for following through and getting things done.
- A genuine desire to create an employee experience that feels thoughtful, structured, and human from day one.
