The ideal candidate is first and foremost a great recruiter and interviewer.
You should be someone who can look at a job description, understand what success in the position looks like, identify where strong candidates are likely to be found, reach out to them, and determine during an initial conversation whether they are worth moving forward.
You should also be comfortable switching gears. One day you may be sourcing candidates for an Account Manager; the next you may be onboarding a new employee, helping a manager address a performance issue, processing payroll information, or conducting an employee offboarding.
We are looking for someone who:
Is confident and highly articulate.
Can build rapport quickly with candidates.
Knows how to ask good questions and, more importantly, listen to the answers.
Can distinguish between someone who interviews well and someone who is actually qualified.
Is comfortable conducting difficult conversations when necessary.
Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Is highly organized and follows through.
Can handle confidential information with discretion.
Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing company.
Is comfortable recruiting for positions they may not have personally held.
Has excellent judgment when evaluating people.
Is professional but approachable.
Can balance the needs of employees, managers, and the company.
Success in this role will primarily be measured by the quality and effectiveness of our recruiting process.
Within this role, you will be expected to:
Consistently build strong candidate pipelines for our open positions.
Generate qualified candidates through proactive outbound recruiting.
Conduct high-quality screening and first-round interviews.
Help hiring managers spend their time interviewing only the most promising candidates.
Improve our overall time-to-hire without sacrificing candidate quality.
Create a professional and positive candidate experience.
Keep our HR processes organized, accurate, and compliant.
Ensure employees have a smooth experience when joining and leaving Spotlight Media.
Provide leadership with reliable HR information and support.
Become a trusted resource for both employees and management.
