This role will partner closely with the Global Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), HR Centers of Excellence (COE), and business leadership to provide human resources support for Blackstone Global Finance. The HRBP role is multi-dimensional and involves aligning the organization’s Human Resources strategies with its business strategy and successfully implementing critical initiatives in support of business activities. This individual will work both as a hands-on generalist, strategic partner, and a trusted advisor to business constituents at all levels.
Responsibilities include:
Provide broad-based human resources leadership tailored to the needs of the business to support recruiting, talent and performance management, talent development, employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, compensation, and organizational design
Partner with Global HRPB and recruiting leads to develop recruiting strategy for lateral and campus hires
Partner with Talent Development to identify, develop, and implement business specific training solutions and talent development initiatives (e.g., mentoring, bespoke training)
Partner with stakeholders to help lead the planning, development, communication, and implementation of the talent management process (e.g., goal setting, annual performance and promotion process)
Act as a mentor and resource to managers and employees at all levels
Provide guidance to business on Employee Relations (ER) matters in partnership with the HR ER team, including through the creation of mentorship and performance management plans
Partner with the Global HRBP, COO, and Compensation team to execute annual compensation review and ad hoc analyses throughout the year
Work across the business to identify and drive employee engagement initiatives
Play a leadership role in assessing current workplace culture, identifying desired state goals, and leading programs / initiatives to drive progress
Partner across the organization on all workplace culture efforts
Support implementation of an impactful on-boarding process that ensures a positive experience for new joiners across teams
Prioritize focus on strategic Human Resources levers that align with business results. This includes developing and interpreting key Human Resources metrics that support core people and talent processes and drive decisions (e.g., promotions, compensation planning, talent management)
Manage ad hoc reporting requests
Partner with colleagues on the development and implementation of firm-wide HR programs
Qualifications
We seek an experienced HR professional with excellent strategic insights, broad HR experience, and a strong generalist skill set. They are a confident change agent with strong communication skills who is a comfortable, effective and persuasive communicator at all levels. They are approachable, collaborative and should possess the following experience and skills:
Bachelor’s degree required
8+ years of human resources experience gained, at least in part, at a well-respected professional services, financial services, or technology organization known for disciplined business performance and engaged, consultative human resources
Experience in client-facing roles with comprehensive HR business skills
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to partner across multiple stakeholders including Global HRBP, Head of HR, HR COEs and business leadership
Effectively communicates and persuades business leaders by sharing points of view
Strong work ethic and highly motivated; sets and manages priorities, multi-tasks and pivots as priorities change
Strategic thinker with an execution mindset; willing to work diligently to see ideas through to implementation to ensure high quality execution
Demonstrated experience translating business initiatives into clear Human Resources strategies coupled with a process-oriented, forward-looking approach
Conceptualizes, advises on, and leads strategic talent management; demonstrated organizational effectiveness/development is a significant plus
Demonstrated experience analyzing talent related data and providing insights
Experience effectively communicating Human Resources strategy and rationale
Creates and reinforces a positive and professional working environment
Proficiency with Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Expected annual base salary range:
$160,000 - $225,000Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
