The HPC System Engineer manages and maintains HPC systems, resolves hardware issues, and configures operating systems as well as clusters.
1. Have good domain knowledge in High-Performance Computing, script language(Shell, Python), Linux administrator, operating systems (Linux, Windows), computer network.
2. Distributed file systems (Lustre/NFS), virtualization and containerization related experience is a plus.
3. Configuration and maintenance of the HPC computer rack/hardware.
4. Professionally resolve hardware issues.
5. HPC Rack, Build, cable, configure, and provision Linux kernel, windows server.
6. HPC Operating System Installation/provision - Windows Server, Linux, Unix.
7. Troubleshooting and resolving hardware problems on Linux cluster hardware and networking equipment and applying logical methods of resolution.
8. Preventive maintenance of cluster hardware.
