At Relativity Space, we have two audacious goals: to build the next great commercial launch company with Terran R and to become America's leading force in additive manufacturing innovation. Both contribute to our long-term vision of creating humanity’s industrial base on Mars, paving the way for interplanetary life to expand the possibilities of the human experience. This journey begins right here on Earth – where we design, build, and fly rockets to deliver customer payloads to orbit. Terran R, our medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket, fulfills the growing demand for launch capacity, thanks to our iterative approach that accelerates design, testing, and development while minimizing costs. While our groundbreaking research and development in 3D printing pushes the boundaries of large-scale additive manufacturing.

Your journey with us is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to shape the future of aerospace technology, additive manufacturing, and the human experience alongside a community of passionate, creative individuals. Join us on this extraordinary journey, as we work together to transform our vision into reality.

About the Team:

The launch operations team is a part of the Cape Canaveral launch site and is primarily responsible for the operational aspects of vehicle integration, payload integration, pad operations, countdown operations, recovery, and reusability. Over the last few years, the launch operations team successfully lifted the Terran 1 vehicle off the ground and have transitioned focus to designing and building the infrastructure to support our next generation vehicle, Terran R. The team is working hand in hand across multiple engineering disciplines to build out critical systems such as the launch pad, transport erector, integration hardware, transport vessels, horizontal integration facilities, and much more to support the Terran R program.

About the Role:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems to support launch infrastructure and facilities.
  • Assist with construction projects and daily operations, working closely with engineering and technician teams.
  • Ensure safety compliance by implementing risk prevention measures, estimating material needs, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Adapt to dynamic work conditions, including extreme outdoor environments and non-standard shifts, as needed.

About You:

  • Proficient experience in construction, aerospace, or related industries working with AC & DC electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E workplace protocols.
  • Industry experience working with 277/480V and 120/208V distribution systems.
  • Proficient in grounding, bonding, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical distribution systems.
  • Proficiency in any of the following: installation of switchboards, panelboards, transformers, backup power systems, transfer switches, rigid conduit, and associated wiring.

Nice to haves but not required:

  • Experience with interpreting construction drawings and materials – Including plans,1-lines, equipment schematics, and manufacturer’s instructions.
  • State Licensed Electrician.
  • Experience with installations in electrically classified locations (e.g., Class 1 Division 2).

Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

At Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Compensation is only one part of our total rewards package. Relativity Space offers competitive salary and equity, a generous PTO and sick leave policy, parental leave, an annual learning and development stipend, and more! To see some of the benefits & perks we offer, please visit here.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
