The PositionThe Opportunity

As Head of Treasury Operations, this role leads the global execution of post-trade processes with operational excellence, while advancing a clean, data-driven, and digitally enabled treasury foundation that empowers the entire Treasury organization to deliver smarter, faster, and future-ready treasury operations.

The role ensures day-to-day resilience, compliance, and flawless service delivery in Treasury Operations, while at the same time driving the digital transformation agenda to future-proof processes, systems, and controls.

By establishing and maintaining a clean core SAP S/4HANA TRM operating model, integrating satellite systems, and leveraging advanced analytics, the Head of Treasury Operations enables efficiency, accuracy, and business continuity at scale. Acting as a key influencer in shaping the future treasury system landscape, the Head fosters cross-functional collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement to support Roche’s long-term financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Operational Accountability

    • End-to-end ownership of global Treasury post-trade operations (confirmation, settlement, posting, payment) across all product types (FX, MM, Securities, Intercompany Loans, non-voting equity securities ).

    • Ensure operational resilience and flawless business continuity, including contingency planning and issue resolution.

    • Govern Treasury Business Partner master data, SWIFT connectivity, and bank account setup.

  • Risk, Compliance & Controls

    • Ensure ICFR controls, segregation of duties, and full audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.

    • Act as primary contact for Group Audit, regulators, and banks on operational and system control topics.

  • Process Optimization & Clean Core Strategy 

    • Continuously improve and streamline Treasury Operations processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

    • Drive automation and standardization of middle- and back-office workflows, aligned with SAP clean core principles.

  • Digital Transformation, Innovation & Evolution

    • Contribute as a key stakeholder to digital transformation, driving operational excellence and bridge between Treasury and IT for digitalization topics and system enhancements.

    • Deliver new digital tools (SAP Fiori apps, Treasury Analytics Cloud, AI-based automation), lead the transition to ISO 20022 and explore API-based connectivity to enhance operational scalability.
       

  • Leadership

    • Lead, mentor, and develop the Treasury Operations team, instilling a culture of operational discipline, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.

    • Foster a culture of operational discipline, continuous improvement, and innovation.

    • Drive adoption of SAP Treasury Analytics Cloud, dashboards, and KPIs across the teams.

Who you are
  • 10+ years’ experience in Treasury Operations, InHouse banking or Finance in a multinational environment.

  • Proven expertise of SAP S/4HANA TRM, product type ownership, and SWIFT connectivity (MT messages, BIC/RMA management).

  • Demonstrated leadership in digital transformation and automation of financial operations combined with strong stakeholder management, with demonstrated success in cross-department collaboration.
