Description

WHO WE ARE

Come join the company at the center of how the world adopts AI securely. Cyera’s mission is to give enterprises the confidence to embrace AI safely — deciding exactly what it can see and do as it reaches deeper into the business. We started by solving the hardest problem in data security: finding and securing data faster and more precisely than anyone thought possible. That foundation is now the essential AI trust infrastructure for the Fortune 1000. We’re hiring mission-driven talent to put those leaders at the center of our story.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Cyera is building a Training and Education function from the ground up — the team that teaches customers and partners how to get full value from the platform. This is a founding leadership role: you will design the strategy, build and lead the team, and select the technology stack needed to run a modern customer education function.

Educated customers renew more, escalate less, and adopt faster. This role will build external-facing training, education, and certification programs — for customers and channel partners — that scale adoption as the customer base grows and give certified partners the credibility to deliver and support implementations independently.

You will report to the Chief Customer Officer and partner closely with Product Management, Channel & Partnerships, Support, and Finance to build a function that is credible, measurable, and fundable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Program Ownership

  • Own the training and education strategy end-to-end, spanning pre-engagement onboarding, admin fundamentals, hands-on labs, certification, and partner accreditation.
  • Define and defend the program's ROI model — onboarding readiness, skill validation, support-ticket reduction, product adoption, and partner quality — and report outcomes to executive stakeholders.
  • Prioritize investment by impact, balancing low-effort, high-value initiatives against deeper, longer-term capabilities.

Curriculum & Learning Experience

  • Direct the design of self-service learning paths, instructor-led (VILT/ILT) training, and hands-on lab curricula for customer admins, operators, and partner engineers.
  • Establish a governance model that keeps the curriculum current as the product evolves, informed by real-world adoption and support signals.
  • Evaluate where AI can responsibly scale the program — localization, adaptive learning paths, and an AI tutor — while keeping subject-matter-expert review as the source of truth.

Certification & Partner Training

  • Build a role-based certification program (e.g., Certified Platform Admin) with defensible, proctored exams.
  • Design the partner certification pathway — learn, practice, validate, authorize, monitor — so accredited partners can deliver and support implementations independently.

Team & Vendor Management

  • Hire, lead, and grow the Training and Education team, building a full function of instructional designers, trainers, lab engineers, a curriculum manager, and certification specialists.
  • Own the technology stack and vendor relationships across the LMS, content authoring, hands-on lab platform, exam delivery, and digital badging — negotiating contracts and managing budget.

Analytics & Executive Reporting

  • Stand up and continuously evolve an outcomes dashboard covering training completion, lab completion, certified users, trained-vs-untrained support volume, and onboarding readiness.
  • Represent the function in front of the CCO and cross-functional leadership, translating program activity into business impact.
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years leading customer-facing training, education, or certification programs - building or scaling an external learning organization - ideally at a B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructure company.
  • Track record owning a P&L or budget for a training/education function, including vendor selection and contract negotiation (LMS, authoring platforms, lab environments, exam proctoring).
  • Experience designing certification and partner accreditation programs that gate independent delivery on demonstrated competency, not just course completion.
  • Comfort operating at both altitudes - setting strategy for executive stakeholders while staying close to the mechanics of certification exams, lab environments, and the learning platform.
  • People leadership experience, including hiring and developing instructional designers, trainers, and lab engineers.
  • Fluency measuring training outcomes - completion, certification pass rates, support deflection, adoption - rather than just tracking content delivered.
  • A background in product management, or in a security/data-focused product function, is a strong plus, given the technical depth required to build credible, technically rigorous certification standards.
