As Vanta’s Head of Storytelling, you’ll lead the team that brings our mission and product vision to life across owned channels—from memes that make founders look twice, to data stories that get shared in CISO Slack groups, to content that helps Vanta stand out in generative search.

This isn’t a “content calendar” job. It’s a build-the-new-playbook job. You’ll experiment with formats before they’re mainstream, use data as both input and output, and collaborate with our growth team to make storytelling drive pipeline and discovery, not just engagement. You’re tapped into the cultural zeitgeist, spotting the latest trending topics and capitalizing on them to tell the Vanta story.

The right fit is equal parts creative strategist and operator—someone who brings a digital-first, data-informed approach to storytelling and is energized by making security content feel alive, relevant, and impossible to ignore.

What you’ll do as a Head of Storytelling at Vanta:

  • Lead and Develop the Team: Mentor and empower a small but high-impact group of content and social marketers to do their most creative work.

  • Own Vanta’s Narrative: Shape the company’s voice on trust, security, and technology across blog, organic social and emerging channels.

  • Drive Measurable Impact: Build a content engine that influences pipeline, improves GEO and LLM visibility, and connects brand storytelling to business outcomes.

  • Show Up on Social: Own our organic social strategy including where, how and with who we show up on social channels.

  • Experiment and Evolve: Pilot new formats, mediums, and distribution tactics. Plus build the playbooks that turn these experiments into repeatable motions.

  • Work Shoulder-to-Shoulder with Leadership: Partner closely with Vanta’s executive team — from our CEO to our CISO — to tell the company’s most important stories. Align with product, comms, and performance marketing to ensure every narrative moves both hearts and numbers.

How to be successful in this role:

  • Have 10+ years of experience of turning creative ideas into measurable business impact. Experience in leading content or editorial teams is a plus.

  • Have a track record of driving pipeline through storytelling

  • Understand how discovery is changing. You’re fluent in SEO, GEO, and the new world of AI search and know how to make content work across them.

  • Bring editorial judgment and performance discipline in equal measure.
    Enjoy experimenting with new formats and channels, and know when an idea deserves a meme, a manifesto, or a metric.

  • Thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating with Product, GTM, and Vanta’s exec team to tell the company’s most important stories.

  • Are curious about security and the future of trust online, and want to make those topics feel modern, human, and worth paying attention to.

  • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
