At Rain, we’re rebuilding the global financial pipes money flows through. Our infrastructure makes stablecoins usable in the real world by powering credit card transactions, cross-border payments, B2B purchases, remittances, and more. We partner with fintechs, neobanks, and institutions to help them launch solutions that are global, inclusive, and efficient. If you’re curious, bold, and excited to help shape a borderless financial system, we’d love to talk.

Our Ethos

Operating at the epicenter of stablecoin innovation means moving fast and thinking globally. Our team reflects the diverse, international audiences we serve. The candidate will have experience delivering resilient, scalable systems and guiding technical teams in bringing them to production.

This individual will partner closely with Engineering, Data, Operations, Finance, and Compliance to build a foundation for a scalable risk engine that balances robust controls with customer experience.

What you'll do

  • Define the multi-year product vision for Rain’s risk ecosystem.

  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate external risk technology partners.

  • Manage key payments ecosystem partners on all payments risk related functions.

  • Lead creation and optimization of Rain’s risk decisioning systems, scoring models, data pipelines, and automated controls.

    • Partner with engineering and data to define technical requirements for models, rule engines, and alerting systems.

  • Build frameworks for evaluating risk–reward tradeoffs and guide senior leadership through complex decisions.

  • Ensure platform scalability to support new products, geographies, and risk vectors.

  • Work closely with Compliance and Legal to ensure controls support regulatory expectations.

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years work experience with at least 8+ years in payments risk at a financial technology company, bank, financial services firm, or payments network

  • Hands on fraud prevention strategy experience

  • Proven track record of complex problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Strong analytical skills and team player

  • SQL and Dashboarding Skills

  • High EQ and management skills

Desirable but not mandatory

  • Exposure to B2B credit card programs.

  • Cross border payments experience.

  • Ownership that matters: Every team member gets equity because we believe in building together.

  • Work your way: Flexible hybrid setup with a prime SoHo office for NYC-based teammates.
