What you’ll do

As the Head of Network Engineering, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of the network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance to support the firm’s trading and business operations. Specifically, you will:

  • Develop and execute the network strategy aligned with business goals. Lead the network team, fostering innovation and excellence.
  • Design and oversee scalable, secure, and efficient network architectures. Ensure support for low-latency and high-frequency trading environments.
  • Manage day-to-day network operations, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. Oversee network monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
  • Implement robust network security measures. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers. Work closely with internal stakeholders to meet networking needs.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Conduct regular testing and updates.
  • Manage the network budget, optimizing resources and expenditures. Implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. Enhance network observability and implement automation.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Develop and maintain scripts and tools for automated network management.

 

What’s Required

  • Extensive experience in network architecture and management
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, security, and best practices.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of cloud networking and hybrid environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools and practices.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards

The annual base salary range for this role is $250,000-$325,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
