What we do

Adaptive is a vertical AI company of 50, building the agentic operating system for the $2 trillion U.S. construction industry. We work with over 1,000 customers, partner with over 50 accounting firms, and have raised $26m from Emergence, a16z, and other top funds.

Why join us?

Win a massive category that's up for grabs. Construction is among the least digitized industries left, and no AI king has been crowned. With our momentum, team, and backing, we are in position to be that company

Build a moat that compounds. We orchestrate multi-stakeholder workflows across an industry that today runs on paper, email, and phone calls. Every process we manage generates data no one else has. That data makes each new use case easier to expand to, while building a compounding moat

Work with the rare team that can pull this off. Winning here takes deep construction knowledge and deep AI fluency in the same room. That intersection is rare, and we have it with backgrounds across finance, technology, and construction

Serve the people building the world around you. Your favorite local café. The new house on the corner. The massive new skyscraper at Central Park South. All built by our customers: skilled, creative people who have spent their lives bringing neighborhoods to life

The role

Half of this year's revenue has come inbound and another quarter through channel partners, all without a dedicated marketing leader. ACVs tripled YoY and the sales team is scaling rapidly. Our customers give us an 80 NPS. You'd be the first marketing leader, with a huge amount of untapped demand to go after.

You'll work closely with:

  • Our CEO, on defining the category and building programs

  • Our VP of Sales, who scaled Klaviyo from $25m to $1B ARR, overseeing a team of 4 AEs growing to 8 by end of July

  • Our BDR manager, overseeing a team of 6 BDRs growing to 15 by end of July

  • A talented marketing associate on your team to start, plus the team you build out from there

Responsibilities

  • Define the category. We have first-mover advantage, and it shows up as wow moments on sales calls, but we haven't cracked how to tell that story at scale. You'll establish how we talk about what we're building, and amplify it into a category we own

  • Build awareness. Our buyers live in specific peer networks, industry associations, and channel partner ecosystems. You'll build the programs that get us in front of them, consistently

  • Run the system. Our TAM and target personas are clearly defined. You'll build the system that gets every account into our CRM, surfaces who's engaging with programs, and converts the warm ones into opportunities.

Qualifications

  • You have 4–6 years of marketing experience, including owning product marketing and/or brand at an early stage company

  • You're fluent with GTM tech, AI tools, and data

  • You thrive solving ambiguous problems

  • You love working as a player coach, owning IC work to stay close to the operation while building up the team around you

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
