Casechek is on a mission to innovate the implant supply chain and bring greater transparency to the cost of patient care. From procurement to payment, Casechek automates workflows for vendor-supported surgical procedures. Our emergent Bill-Only solution provides a comprehensive system of record for hospitals and health systems to manage the complexity of surgical cases with implantable medical devices, expose hidden expenses, and surface revenue opportunities.

We are seeking a Head of Marketing to own Casechek’s end-to-end marketing strategy—driving demand generation, brand, communications, and product marketing. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and partnering closely with Product Management and the broader Commercial teams, this leader will shape positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy while ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs and buying preferences.

This role requires a passionate, creative thinker with experience bringing SaaS platforms to market, a proven ability to deliver measurable results, and a fierce desire to solve complex problems in healthcare.

Casechek is a highly collaborative environment, but our team is also self-motivated and works independently. We strongly believe that great ideas are not created in isolation! Our team interacts with our healthcare customers to understand their needs and ultimately deliver the best user experience possible.

About Us

  • Casechek is based out of Chicago's Fulton Market, but we’re a hybrid, remote and in-person team.
  • We are highly motivated and passionate about solving healthcare’s messiest problems with new technologies.
  • We value diversity, curiosity, and a passion for learning. The team has a lot of advanced degrees and even a few professional musicians.
  • Innovating the implant supply chain is a marathon and not a sprint – we support each other in long-term growth and value developing transferrable skills.

About You

  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
  • Highly motivated and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
  • Proven success managing and developing marketing teams, with experience scaling small departments into high-performing teams.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with Leadership, Marketing, Sales, and Product Management to launch high-performing solutions.
  • Healthcare industry experience—ideally in Supply Chain, OR, or Medical Devices—and experience scaling SaaS marketing organizations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and partners.
  • Excellent communication skills to cultivate interest in Casechek and inspire internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Integrated Marketing & Product Marketing
    • Own the development and execution of annual integrated marketing plans spanning brand, demand generation, digital, events, and product marketing initiatives.
    • Drive product marketing strategy, including content creation, sales enablement, voice-of-customer research, and market analysis.
    • Develop ongoing commercialization plans to ensure growth of new and existing solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Growth
    • Lead, mentor, and grow the current marketing team, building a culture of accountability and innovation.
    • Develop talent to scale a small but high-impact department, aligning team structure and roles with company growth.
  • Value Proposition & Messaging
    • Create and maintain messaging frameworks and solution playbooks to define product value, guide client-facing assets, and reinforce Casechek’s brand story.
  • Market Intelligence
    • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive developments.
    • Conduct and synthesize voice-of-customer research to inform product and portfolio decisions and identify market opportunities.
  • Campaigns & Content
    • Oversee Sr. Marketing Specialist and broader team to deliver high-impact content and multi-channel campaigns that drive measurable pipeline growth.
  • Sales Enablement
    • Develop and execute a sales-enablement strategy to communicate value propositions and economic benefits to the Commercial team and market.
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Manage marketing budget, set performance metrics, and report results to executive leadership.
    • Partner with Product and Commercial teams to translate market insights into product requirements and successful launches.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive B2B SaaS marketing experience, including significant product-marketing leadership and broader marketing team management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and scaling small marketing teams or departments in a high-growth environment.
  • Proven track record driving measurable pipeline and revenue growth through integrated marketing programs.
  • Experience collaborating with and presenting to senior executives and boards.
  • Healthcare supply chain experience strongly preferred; knowledge of OR/Clinical Assets/Medical Devices a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce and Pardot preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills in Excel and exceptional presentation skills in PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
