We are looking for a Head of Legal.

Main focus and area of responsibilities:

  • Legal Strategy: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company's business activities. Assess and manage legal risks related to contracts, intellectual property, employment, litigation, and other areas of potential legal exposure.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure the international holding company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements in every jurisdiction where it operates. This includes monitoring changes in legislation and ensuring internal policies are updated accordingly.
  • Intellectual Property Protection: Develop and implement strategies to protect the company's intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Monitor and address any potential infringements of intellectual property rights.
  • Legal Risk Management: Develop and execute a legal strategy for the international holding company, aligned with its long-term goals and objectives. This includes opening new entities with mitigating legal risks.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, coordinate external audits, and collaborate with legal and internal compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks.

We expect from you:

  • 5+ years of experience in a CLO/VP Legal position in international companies
  • English - B2+ (with fluency in the Russian language)
  • Legal Management: In-depth understanding of various areas of law, such as business law, contract law, employment law, intellectual property law, and other relevant legal areas.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations and laws affecting the organization's operations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Litigation Management: Ability to manage legal disputes, litigation processes, and work closely with external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Risk Management: Skills in identifying legal risks, developing strategies to manage these risks, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Technology Aptitude: Familiarity with financial software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, data analytics tools.

  • Workplace organization. The company provides all employees with an equipped workplace and all the necessary equipment (table, armchair, wifi, etc.) in our offices or co-working locations. In the other locations, the company provides reimbursement of workplace costs up to $ 1000 gross once every 3 years, according to the paychecks. This money can be spent on the rent of the co-working room, on equipping the working place at home (desk, chair, Internet, etc.) during those 3 years;
