About the Role:
We are looking for a Head of International Reporting to lead statutory audits and financial reporting across Remitly's international entities. Reporting to the Director, SEC & External Reporting, you'll manage a team, oversee financial statement preparation and review, and ensure timely filings across multiple jurisdictions. As we expand globally, you'll play a key role in assessing and supporting new reporting requirements, collaborating closely with Legal, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams.
You Will:
Lead a team managing statutory audits and financial statement preparation across international entities
Act as escalation point for complex reporting issues and ensure timely, accurate filings
Review all international financials and manage workback schedules for regulatory deadlines
Prepare and review finance updates for subsidiary board meetings and attend quarterly sessions
Serve as subject matter expert on statutory frameworks and reconciliation to US GAAP
Partner with Legal, Tax, Compliance, and external advisors to enhance international reporting processes
Support audit readiness, regulatory requests, and internal controls related to international reporting
You Have:
10+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance with a focus on international reporting
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related; CPA, CA, or ACCA strongly preferred
Experienced in regulated environments, financial statement review, and audit leadership
Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage reporting across multiple geographies
Passionate about process improvement and scaling global finance operations
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $150,000 - $162,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
