About Paytient:
We’re on a mission to help people better access and afford care.

Every day, millions of people, and their loved ones, need to see a doctor. For most of us, that moment is an uncertain one - we’re unsure of what’s wrong, who to go to, how long it’ll take to be seen, when we’ll feel better, and what it’ll cost.

Paytient partners with thoughtful employers and health plans who understand the impact of that moment and want to ensure that every one of their plan members are easily able to access and afford care. Our clients understand that an improved ability to self-pay for care changes patient behavior and creates value for the health plan.  This founding belief is becoming an emerging standard of care in health plan design and is now, in fact, a mandatory capability in some governmental health plans. Founded in 2018, Paytient is now part of nearly 6,000 employer health plans and providing certainty that people are better able to access and afford care.

We’re looking for passionate, collaborative builders to join our team and help us create a future where everyone can more easily access and afford care.
About The Role: Are you a bold, strategic leader ready to define a new category in healthcare benefits?

Paytient is seeking a Head of Growth Marketing to build and fuel our B2B growth engine, playing a pivotal role in making healthcare more accessible and affordable for everyone.

You’ll oversee a high-performing, multidisciplinary team responsible for driving awareness, education, and pipeline across our employer, health system, and health plan audiences. This role spans full-funnel responsibility, from crafting value propositions and go-to-market strategy to generating demand through content, paid media, events, and partner programs.

Reporting  to the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Partnerships, and Product teams. You’ll be a key leader in positioning Paytient as a category-defining brand, and a “no-brainer” solution for the most forward-thinking benefits buyers and partners in America.

What You’ll Do: Build the Engine: Product Marketing, Packaging, Positioning & Pricing
  • Lead and scale our product marketing efforts, with responsibility for positioning, packaging, pricing strategy, and sales enablement.
  • Translate complex capabilities into compelling, segment-specific narratives that accelerate sales and deepen buyer understanding.
  • Enable Sales and Partnerships teams with world-class materials, training, and competitive insights.
  • Evolve pricing and go-to-market strategy to support new monetization models, such as outcomes-based pricing or bundled partner solutions.
Fuel the Engine: Demand Generation & Market Education
  • Own strategy and execution for full-funnel B2B demand generation—including paid media, content marketing, events, email, and lifecycle/ABM, supporting both direct-to-employer and complex healthcare partnership/reseller audiences.
  • Drive marketing-attributed pipeline and support pipeline velocity through targeted campaigns and conversion programs.
  • Lead the strategy for owned and marquee events, including our Paytient Partner Summit, broker roundtables, and co-marketing programs.
  • Lead the development and execution of data-driven, multichannel marketing campaigns targeting benefits decision-makers, industry partners, and key influencers.
  • Drive measurable growth and expand market reach through high-impact co-marketing initiatives with key brokers, consultants, and strategic partners.
Lead the Team & Drive Impact
  • Hire, coach, and inspire a small but mighty, growing team of multidisciplinary marketers.
  • Set KPIs and measurement frameworks that align with revenue goals and clearly communicate marketing’s impact on pipeline, CAC and CAC:LTV.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure Paytient’s narrative is unified and powerful across every touchpoint.
  • Operate as a key member of the marketing leadership team and a strategic partner to the CMO and broader GTM leadership.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 12–15+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role spanning both product marketing and demand generation.
  • Proven success building and scaling high-growth B2B engines, with a track record of driving significant pipeline and revenue in complex industries like healthcare, benefits, SaaS, or fintech.
  • Experience managing a multidisciplinary marketing team (product marketing, paid media, content, events, enablement).
  • Deep understanding of GTM strategy, segmentation, pricing, and full-funnel demand generation tactics.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills—able to translate strategy into clear messaging and go-to-market execution.
  • Strong analytical and measurement orientation; comfortable using data to drive prioritization and optimization.
  • Collaborative leadership style, with a track record of cross-functional partnership with Sales, Product, and executive stakeholders.
  • Passion for Paytient’s mission and a desire to improve how people access and afford care.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
