Role: Head of Growth Consulting
Company: Vulcury Consulting
Location: Flexible (remote with periodic collaboration)
Compensation: Base + revenue share + equity participation tied to practice performance

About Vulcury Consulting

Vulcury Consulting is the advisory and execution arm of Vulcury, a venture studio and consulting platform that helps companies design, build, and scale sophisticated products and businesses.

Our consulting practice operates at the intersection of strategy, growth, product, and operational execution. We support both internal ventures and external clients—often companies navigating complex growth inflection points such as new product launches, market expansion, or operational scaling.

Unlike traditional consultancies that stop at recommendations, Vulcury embeds with clients and builds and executes the growth infrastructure required to win in market.

The Opportunity

Vulcury is seeking a Head of Growth Consulting to build and lead our growth practice.

This role is effectively the leader of a modern marketing and go-to-market consultancy operating within Vulcury’s broader consulting platform. The leader will own both client development and delivery, building a profitable consulting vertical while leveraging Vulcury’s infrastructure, talent network, and venture studio ecosystem.

The role is designed for someone who is a few years out of an MBA or strategy consulting career, who recognizes that the traditional path toward partnership in a large firm is slow and bureaucratic. Instead, this person is excited to build a practice now, operate with significant autonomy, and participate directly in the upside created.

While candidates may eventually have built their own boutique consultancy, the ideal person prefers to accelerate that journey within Vulcury’s platform, gaining access to delivery talent, operational infrastructure, and an existing client ecosystem.

What You’ll Do
Build and Lead the Growth Practice
  • Establish and lead Vulcury’s growth consulting vertical.

  • Define service offerings across areas such as:

    • Go-to-market strategy

    • Customer acquisition strategy

    • Demand generation systems

    • Content and thought leadership development

    • Marketing automation and growth infrastructure

    • Sales enablement and revenue operations

  • Develop repeatable service frameworks and delivery models.

Client Development
  • Bring an initial client network or book of business.

  • Develop new client relationships through outbound engagement, partnerships, and thought leadership.

  • Work with Vulcury leadership to identify opportunities within the venture studio ecosystem.

Client Delivery
  • Lead and oversee delivery of growth initiatives for client companies.

  • Coordinate execution through Vulcury’s network of operators, analysts, and specialists.

  • Serve as a senior advisor to founders, executives, and investment-backed companies.

Practice Economics
  • Own the P&L of the growth practice.

  • Build scalable delivery models that combine strategy with execution.

  • Recruit and mentor consultants and specialists as the practice grows.

What Makes This Different

This is not a typical consulting job.

You will be:

  • Building and owning a consulting practice

  • Working alongside a venture studio launching new companies

  • Leveraging an existing delivery infrastructure rather than starting from scratch

  • Participating directly in the upside you create

Rather than spending a decade navigating partnership tracks, this role offers the opportunity to build a high-value consulting practice immediately.

Compensation Structure

Compensation is structured to reflect the entrepreneurial nature of the role.

Components may include:

  • Competitive base salary

  • Revenue share from consulting engagements

  • Equity or profit participation tied to practice performance

  • Participation in broader Vulcury upside depending on long-term role

High performers in this role should expect compensation closely tied to the revenue and enterprise value they create.

RequirementsIdeal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a builder, not just an operator.

Typical background may include:

  • MBA from a leading program

  • 3–7 years experience in one of:

    • Strategy consulting (e.g., MBB, Deloitte, EY-Parthenon, etc.)

    • Growth strategy or marketing leadership at a startup

    • Boutique consulting or agency environment

  • Experience developing or executing go-to-market strategies

  • Exposure to client-facing advisory work

  • Demonstrated ability to originate business or manage client relationships

The ideal candidate likely:

  • Has begun building their own client relationships

  • Recognizes the limits of large consulting firms

  • Is motivated by ownership and autonomy

  • Wants to build a practice with real economic participation

BenefitsWhy Join Vulcury

Vulcury is designed as a platform for builders.

You will have access to:

  • A venture studio launching new businesses

  • Existing consulting infrastructure and delivery teams

  • A network of operators, engineers, analysts, and specialists

  • Opportunities to work across multiple industries and growth stages

For the right person, this role is an opportunity to build a consulting franchise with meaningful ownership and long-term upside.
