Head of Finance

Job location: San Francisco, USA / USA Remote

In this role, you will establish and lead all financial operations as the company's first finance hire. This role requires working closely with the executive team to develop financial strategies, manage investor relations, and build scalable financial processes to support our growth in the B2B data space. You will transition financial operations from our current outsourced accounting firm to an in-house function while maintaining strategic partnerships with external advisors.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 7+ years of finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Minimum of 3 years experience at B2B SaaS startups, ideally including Series A through C
  • Experience managing financial operations in the enterprise software, data, or B2B SaaS sectors
  • Experience as the first finance hire at an early stage startup
  • Strong understanding of subscription-based revenue models and SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC, LTV, etc.)
  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
  • Experience with fundraising processes and investor relations at the Series B stage
  • Proficiency with setting up financial systems and tools (NetSuite, Bill.com, etc.)
  • Experience transitioning from outsourced accounting to in-house financial operations
  • Excellent communication skills to translate financial insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
