Our Story

Remaking the way we make families.

Gaia is bringing value-based care to fertility. We focus on improving outcomes for our members through better care and end-to-end support, and believe they should only pay us if successful. We take on the risk so that our clinic partners get paid regardless of outcomes.

Our founder, Nader AlSalim, experienced the challenges of IVF firsthand as he and his wife went through 5 rounds of treatment to conceive their son. He created Gaia to give others the experience he wished he’d had. Today, a Gaia baby is born every 2.6 days, and with an NPS above 80, our Members feel taken care of at every step of their journey.

Our Company Values

Because we’re building in an extraordinarily complex space, we need to be unapologetically demanding and single-minded in the pursuit of our goals, while going out of our way to support people. Four values drive everything we do at Gaia:

Them, not you: Do right by our members, be kind, and take one for the team.

Drive or get out of the way: Identify problems, take initiative, and step out of your lane.

When in doubt, be brave: It’s the only way to bring about change.

Be extraordinary at what you do: Pursue your craft with excellence and seriousness.

The role

Gaia is hiring an experienced sales leader to expand our employer GTM. Our promise to employers is simple: We’ll give your employees access to inclusive, top-quality family building care. You only pay for successful outcomes.

What you will do

  • Build a pipeline of employer prospects by developing broker relations, conducting targeted outreach, recommending high-ROI marketing investments (conferences etc.), and investing in relevant partnerships (e.g Health plans, PEOs, etc)
  • Own and drive the sales process end-to-end, from initial outreach to pitching to negotiating to contracting to implementing, working hand in hand with the broader Gaia team
  • Work closely with Product on continuously refining and expanding our employer offering

You’ll be great if

  • You bring deep experience in fertility/family building sales
  • Can lead the entire sales process end to end, define success and related metrics in alignment with stakeholders across the business
  • You’re a doer and problem-solver: You are ready to roll up your sleeves to uncover new leads, cultivate key relationships, make cold connections, represent us at conferences, and push for the tools and resources needed to fuel Gaia’s growth
  • You’re an imaginative thinker who brings fresh perspectives and embraces the thrill of finding new ways to approach a sale
  • You understand that disrupting an industry takes time and are in it for the climb
  • You have deep passion for creating a world where everyone who wants a family gets a chance to try

What’s on offer

Here at Gaia, our employees are the foundation of our success. We believe it's super important that you are happy, healthy, and motivated.

As such, on top of a competitive market bench-marked salary, we offer private healthcare, fertility support and other benefits.

Additionally, we offer all new hires a set up budget in addition to an annual personal development budget to build your skills, knowledge, and potential. We’re working hard on our reward and recognition framework to make sure that those who are excelling above and beyond get what they deserve.

Diversity and Inclusion

At Gaia, we believe diverse and inclusive teams make better products, more successful businesses and help us to be better people.

Gaia counts 38 employees spanning 10+ different nationalities. Gaia’s board of directors is composed of founder Nader AlSalim and 2 women —  from Kindred Capital, Leila Zegna and from Atomico, Terese Hougaard. Women are also well represented at the company’s C-suite level (COO, CMO, Chief of Staff) and within Gaia’s data and engineering team, a traditionally male dominated field.

We strive to create an organization that welcomes people and does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, marital status or any other legally protected status.

If you’re eager for a challenge, want to hit the ground running and you're ready to make an impact on other people’s lives, apply!
We aim to respond to all applicants within 1-2 weeks. There is no deadline for the application, the role will be live until filled.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
