We’re hiring a Head of eCommerce Sales to lead and scale our growing vertical sales team. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role will manage Sales Directors and oversee multiple teams of Account Executives focused on selling directly to in-house marketing teams. The ideal candidate brings experience driving growth with high performance eCommerce clients and excels at building go-to-market strategy, managing sales leaders, and operationalizing success across teams.
What you'll be doing
- Launching New Business
- Operationalize the go-to-market strategy for StackAdapt’s sales motions for eCommerce customers
- Define, test, and iterate on value propositions, sales narratives, and success metrics in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Identify promising customer segments and trends, and lead acceleration across your teams.
- Team Building & Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team focused on our priority verticals.
- Champion the StackAdapt team culture, with a firm focus on collaboration, accountability, and StackAdapt’s core values.
- Coach, mentor, and inspire sales managers and AE’s to drive performance and career growth.
- Sales Execution & Revenue Growth
- Set and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Leverage sales analytics and forecasting tools to optimize pipeline health and territory planning.
- Drive operational excellence through data, tools, and process optimization in partnership with RevOps.
- Build thoughtful practices that encourage collaboration, growth, and ownership mindset across your team.
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, RevOps, Enablement to equip your teams with the resources they need, and provide insight into areas of opportunity.
- Influence product roadmaps and positioning based on market feedback and evolving customer needs.
- Represent StackAdapt in strategic client meetings, conferences, and industry events
What you bring to the role
- Deep domain experience in digital advertising sales, with 3+ years leading sales managers or directors. You can clearly articulate your leadership principles and vision for your teams.
- Deep understanding of selling highly technical, outcomes focused products directly to in-house marketing teams .
- Proven success building scalable outbound sales strategies for new customer acquisition, rooted in strong prospect identification, creative engagement strategies, and developing talent to execute the strategy.
- Strong operational discipline with experience in forecasting, pipeline management, and sales process design.
- Exceptional leadership and coaching skills; you build leaders and foster an enviable culture of performance and collaboration that attracts world-class talent.
