About Nutrient

At Nutrient, we're revolutionizing how the world works with documents. Our tools transform static files into intelligent, secure workflows, empowering businesses to innovate faster and smarter. Trusted by thousands of organizations across 80 countries, including Fortune 500 companies and public sector leaders, our platform supports nearly a billion end users globally in industries where documents aren't just files, they're mission-critical.

Your Role at Nutrient...

We're looking for a Head of Developer Relations to shape the developer experience at Nutrient and serve as our primary technical voice in the developer community. You'll blend product education, evangelism, and community-building to make sure developers know what Nutrient can do, can find what they need to succeed with it, and actively engage with us and each other.

This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, marketing, and community. You'll create and ship technical content, build relationships across the developer ecosystem, and own the strategy and execution of our documentation and developer experience. If you're energised by turning complex technical ideas into accessible, compelling content and genuinely care about helping developers succeed, this is the role.

What You'll Work On...
  • Serve as Nutrient's primary public-facing technical voice across developer communities, forums, social platforms, and industry events
  • Create original technical content — blogs, demos, tutorials, videos, and thought leadership that helps developers understand and succeed with Nutrient products
  • Build and grow a vibrant developer community through user groups, office hours, ambassador programmes, and discussion forums
  • Own developer experience strategy: partner with engineering and documentation teams to create high-quality, discoverable technical docs, SDK guides, and API references
  • Review and continuously improve developer workflows across our website, documentation portals, and onboarding experiences
  • Track community health metrics and feed developer feedback into product and documentation improvements
What You'll Bring...
  • 7+ years in developer relations, developer education, technical writing, or a closely related role
  • Strong technical background: comfortable with SDKs, APIs, and backend and frontend languages or developer tooling
  • A track record of creating high-quality developer documentation and technical content that developers actually use
  • Experience building and growing communities across platforms like Slack, Discord, GitHub, Reddit, or Stack Overflow
  • Confident public speaker: comfortable representing a brand to technical audiences at events, webinars, and meet ups
  • Collaborative by nature: able to work across engineering, product, design, and marketing with clarity and low ego
  • Bonus: experience in a B2D or developer-first product company
Who Thrives Here...

At Nutrient, we’re not just hiring for skills — we’re hiring for mindset. The people who thrive here are:

  • Collaborators: You collaborate openly, listen actively, and prioritize team success over ego.
  • Hungry Learners: Rapid learning fuels progress and career growth.
  • Curious Thinkers: You dig deep to uncover the “why,” valuing understanding over simply being right.
  • Self-Starters: You take action without waiting for direction, turning obstacles into opportunities with creativity and persistence.
  • Owners: You take responsibility for solutions and outcomes, always looking for ways to improve what’s within your control.
  • Doers: You’re energized by progress, motivated to create meaningful impact, and eager to tackle challenges.
Why You'll Love Working Here...

At Nutrient, we build tools that reshape how businesses and developers work with documents. Our culture is centred on continuous growth and collaboration. Every team member has room to learn, innovate, and drive meaningful impact.

  • A function to build, not just run: DevRel at Nutrient is still being shaped. You'll define the strategy, build the community, and set the bar for developer experience across a platform trusted by thousands of organizations.
  • Genuine reach and impact: Our developer platform is trusted by 15%+ of the Global 500 across 80+ countries. The community you'd be building here has real scale behind it.
  • Fully remote and async-first: Minimal meetings, strong writing culture, and the independence to manage your own work.
  • Mission-critical product: Nutrient's platform is trusted by 15%+ of the Global 500 across 80+ countries.
  • Strong growth trajectory: having more than doubled revenue over the past three years, backed by Insight Partners.
  • Competitive comp and an annual global retreat. Past retreats held in Croatia, Spain, and Greece.

Nutrient believes in equal opportunity. We employ people from many cultures and countries, celebrate diversity, and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, skill sets, and perspectives. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other non-merit factor.

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
