- Collaborate across Enterprise Architecture, Strategy & Governance, Enterprise Cyber Security and Research & Innovation to elevate data into a strategic asset that fuels innovation and enterprise growth.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including engineers, scientists, analysts, and BI professionals.
- Partner with business units to identify data-driven opportunities and deliver value.
- Serve as the enterprise's primary data authority for internal and external stakeholders.
Data Strategy & Governance
- Own and evolve the enterprise data strategy in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture in alignment with business goals.
- Implement governance frameworks ensuring compliance, security, privacy, and ethical data use as established by Privacy, Data and AI Governance and ETX Risk & Compliance.
- Promote data literacy and embed a data-driven culture across the organization.
Data Architecture
- Define scalable, cloud-native data platforms in partnership with Enterprise Architecture and IT.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data across hybrid environments.
- Lead master and metadata management programs to ensure consistency and traceability.
Data Management & Operations
- Deliver modern data management solutions using ETL/ELT and cloud technologies.
- Implement enterprise data quality frameworks and continuous improvement programs.
- Monitor data health metrics and lead remediation of critical data issues.
- Architect scalable infrastructure including data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of platforms (e.g., Vertica, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/Azure).
- Drive automation and observability to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Data Integration
- Define and execute the enterprise data integration strategy and roadmap.
- Lead adoption of cloud-native and hybrid integration tools.
- Champion modern integration patterns including data mesh, API-led connectivity, and event-driven architectures.
- Support real-time, batch, and streaming data needs across domains.
Technology & Innovation
- Evaluate and implement emerging data management platforms and tools.
- Stay ahead of trends in data mesh, data fabric, and AI-driven governance collaborating with R&D, EA and PDAIG teams.
- Enable self-service capabilities to empower business users.
Analytics & Insights
- Enable data-driven transformation by advancing the use of AI, machine learning, and analytics to generate insights that drive strategic outcomes.
- Develop performance frameworks and KPIs to measure the impact of data initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal security standards.
- Collaborate with Security and Risk teams to manage data-related risks and audit readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
- 10+ years in data-focused roles, including 5+ years in Executive or Senior leadership roles.
- Deep technical knowledge of data technologies, platforms and products.
- Strong experience in ETL/ELT, APIs, and streaming technologies (Informatica, Kong, Kafka).
- Deep knowledge of data architecture, governance, and analytics methodologies.
- Experience managing data in the cloud. AWS preferred
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
