We are looking for a seasoned and hands-on Head of CLO & CRE Research and Analytics to lead our efforts in delivering innovative analytics across the Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) markets to Aladdin clients. The ideal candidate will bring deep product expertise, strong quantitative and programming skills, and the ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to clients and internal stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research Thought Leadership – Develop innovative ideas and research using robust data and market analysis, to improve Aladdin analytics offering CLO and CRE areas.

  • Horizontal Leadership – Work horizontally with quantitative modelers to incorporate research and ideas in the Single Security valuation models

  • Cross-functional Partnership – Collaborate with Data, Technology to support Portfolio Management, Client, and Risk teams’ business needs.

  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement – Clearly articulate modeling frameworks, assumptions, and results to clients.

  • Market Thought Leadership – Monitor and analyze CLO and CRE market trends, structure, and regulatory developments; translate insights into actionable research.

 

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g engineering, computer science, math, statistics, physics, economics, finance, or similar).

  • Deep knowledge of leveraged loans, CLO structure, and CRE fundamentals.

  • Proficient in programming (Python, R, familiarity with C++ is a plus).

  • Strong communication skills. Ability to explain complex model results and results to clients.

  • Proven ability to lead horizontally and vertically, develop and inspire quant and research teams.


 

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$215,000.00 - USD$275,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
