This individual will lead our business development efforts while ensuring day-to-day business operations run smoothly. Role Overview
This is a role that’s ideal for someone that is eager to roll up their sleeves and move fast. As Head of Business Development & Operations, you’ll be a key driver of our growth - responsible for both landing new business and building the internal systems that keep us scaling . You’ll work directly with the founders to shape GTM strategy, close deals, and build the operational backbone of a high-performance team.
What You’ll Own
Business Development & Partnerships (Primary Responsibilities)
- Lead full-cycle sales: prospect, pitch, close, and expand accounts
- Build and execute a GTM strategy that drives ARR growth
- Cultivate relationships with key accounts, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Represent the company externally at events, conferences, and on-site with clients
- Collaborate with marketing to sharpen messaging and outreach
Business Operations
- Design and optimize processes across sales, onboarding, billing, and support
- Own and improve CRM and reporting systems to ensure visibility and accountability
- Align cross-functional teams (product, marketing, customer success)
- Identify and eliminate operational inefficiencies before they become bottlenecks including leveraging AI-powered tools to ensure we stay ahead of the curve
Leadership & Strategy
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and founding team
- Provide insights that shape product development and customer experience
- Build and lead future hires across sales, operations, customer success
- Own revenue forecasting and performance tracking
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, with strong track record in business development or sales
- Experience working in or selling into industrial markets (metal recycling a plus)
- Proven closer with knack for building long-term partnerships
- Operationally minded with experience building systems in a hyper-growth environment
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and wears multiple hats with ease
Nice to Have
- Fast-growth startup experience, particularly in a founder-led sales environment
- Network in the scrap/recycling ecosystem
- Experience hiring or managing lean, high-output teams
- Background in business operations or revenue ops
