Unanet is seeking a visionary Head of AI Strategy & Operations to lead enterprise-wide transformation through Artificial Intelligence. Reporting directly to our Chief Executive Officer, this leader will serve as both the strategic catalyst and technical orchestrator for how AI can reimagine our business - from product development to customer engagement to operational efficiency.

This role combines strategic foresight with deep technical understanding. Our Head of AI Strategy will design and scale Unanet’s AI “nervous system” - a connected fabric of intelligent agents, data systems, and workflows that unify how information, insights, and decisions flow across the organization. The ideal candidate balances business strategy and technical architecture, driving measurable outcomes, cultural adoption, and responsible AI enablement across every function.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Serve as Unanet’s AI thought leader and ambassador, championing the responsible, ethical, and secure use of AI to enhance operational efficiency, decision-making, and customer value
  • Define and execute a comprehensive and holistic AI strategy and roadmap, aligning with Unanet’s corporate objectives and product innovation goals
  • Architect the AI operating fabric of the enterprise: a connected system of tools, data pipelines, and intelligent workflows that enable real-time collaboration, automation, and analytics across departments
  • Build a unified AI governance and risk management framework

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Orchestration

  • Partner with executive leadership across Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, Sales, Finance, HR, and Operations to identify, prioritize, and scale high-impact AI use cases
  • Lead the establishment of an AI Center of Excellence (COE) – a hub connecting AI Enablement Leads, data teams, and functional innovators to share best practices, drive experimentation, and maintain governance
  • Develop and enforce AI integration and data interoperability standards to ensure seamless data flow, reduced redundancy, and consistent API and identity management across systems
  • Collaborate with the CISO and CTO to ensure all AI systems adhere to enterprise security policies, privacy standards, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2)

Execution, Enablement & Technical Oversight

  • Oversee the design, experimentation, and scaling of AI solutions - from pilot programs to enterprise deployment - measuring tangible outcomes in productivity, quality, and time-to-value.
  • Manage the AI vendor and platform ecosystem, including evaluation and integration of LLM platforms and orchestration layers
  • Oversee enterprise AI tool orchestration, including inventorying all AI and automation tools, ensuring interoperability, security review, and ROI tracking
  • Lead AI literacy and enablement programs, including internal workshops, cross-functional playbooks, and secure AI development training

Governance, Security & Responsible AI

  • Operationalize AI ethics, transparency, and explainability by embedding governance checkpoints throughout the AI lifecycle from experimentation to deployment
  • Develop and maintain an AI risk register and incident response protocols in coordination with our Security and Legal teams
  • Monitor AI systems for drift, misuse, and data integrity
  • Provide executive- and board-level visibility into AI adoption, risk management, and performance metrics through structured dashboards and reporting frameworks

Innovation & Advocacy

  • Stay ahead of the rapidly evolving AI landscape—tracking emerging technologies, frameworks, and partnerships that could accelerate Unanet’s innovation
  • Represent Unanet externally as an AI thought leader, participating in industry panels, consortiums, and partnerships to position the company as a leader in responsible, scalable AI adoption
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, where teams are empowered to leverage AI safely and effectively in pursuit of business outcomes

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise technology strategy and enablement, with demonstrable leadership in digital transformation
  • Previous experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment required
  • Proven success in scaling AI or automation initiatives that delivered measurable impact across multiple business functions
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and business leadership, translating complex AI and data concepts for executive audiences
  • Strong grasp of AI/ML concepts, data engineering, and workflow orchestration, including hands-on familiarity with LLMs and integration frameworks
  • Experience with AI governance, risk management, and security standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related

Your Differentiators

  • Experience building or managing AI Centers of Excellence (CoE) strongly preferred
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) preferred

The anticipated salary range for this opportunity is $200,000–$275,000 per year. While the scope and level of this opportunity are still being finalized, this range reflects our good-faith estimate of expected compensation. If your compensation expectations do not align with this range but you remain interested in the opportunity, we encourage you to apply. You will also be eligible for employee equity and discretionary bonus compensation, subject to applicable plans.
