About the role

As a GTM Strategy & Market Intelligence Intern at Starburst, you will help shape how we position and win enterprise deals. Working directly with Enterprise Product Marketing leadership, you'll conduct competitive research, analyze deals, and develop market intelligence that drives revenue strategy. This internship offers direct exposure to enterprise go-to-market strategy, giving you insight into how large technology companies actually win complex, multi-stakeholder deals.

As a GTM Strategy & Market Intelligence Intern at Starburst you will:

  • Competitive Intelligence: Track competitors, monitor product/messaging shifts, analyze analyst reports (Gartner, Forrester), and maintain sales battlecards
  • Deal Analysis: Review closed opportunities, identify win/loss patterns, analyze sales calls, and create monthly insight reports
  • Account Research: Research target enterprise accounts, map stakeholders, identify use cases and buying triggers, and create executive briefing documents
  • Market Research: Study industry trends, regulatory drivers, and technology adoption patterns to build industry narratives for sales enablement
  • Executive Support: Prepare briefing summaries, extract proof points from research, and support thought leadership materials

  • MBA candidate or senior undergraduate (business, economics, engineering, policy, or analytics)
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Interest in technology, data platforms, AI, or enterprise software
  • Nice to have: Consulting, research, or market analysis experience
  • Ability to Travel: This role may require occasional in-person travel for purposes including but not limited to new hire onboarding, team events, and customer engagements.

Where could this role be based?

  • This role is based in our Boston office and follows a hybrid model, with an expectation of being onsite 1-2 days per week.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: 6 months ( July-Dec)
  • Hours: Flexible (part-time during semester or full-time summer, part-time continuation)
Compensation: Paid internship 

Starburst is dedicated to maintaining fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range provided for this role reflects the minimum and maximum targets for candidates across all U.S. locations and could be inclusive of variable compensation, such as commission or bonus. All employees receive equity packages (ISOs) and have access to a comprehensive benefits offering. Actual compensation packages are determined based on relevant skills, experience, education and training, and specific work location.
