At Pulley, we are on a mission to help construction teams break ground faster. The United States is short between 4-7 million homes while housing production and affordability remain near historic lows. Meanwhile, retail and office real estate are still adapting to the post-pandemic world and the AI boom has led to significant investments in data center infrastructure.
Permitting requirements vary vastly by jurisdiction, making it challenging to navigate for home builders, retailers, architects and contractors. It creates a critical bottleneck that every project must traverse. While the industry remains largely fragmented and underserved, we believe that combining cutting-edge software with permitting expertise can condense permitting timelines from months to days or even hours!
🏗️ About UsWe are a passionate team building software for the built environment around us. Founded by Charlie Jacobson and Andreas Rotenberg in 2021, our team combines deep experience in real estate and construction with a track record of shipping software loved by millions of customers.
We’re backed by CRV, Susa Ventures, BoxGroup, Fifth Wall, Operator, South Park Commons, Suffolk Construction and leaders from Plaid, Segment, Procore, ServiceTitan, Built, BuildZoom, and eero.
🏠 What We’re BuildingWe’re building the world’s first software platform for construction permitting — for any project, in any city. Our north star is speed; everything we do is in the service of helping our customers get their permits as fast as possible.
We serve some of the top developers, builders, retailers and architects in the industry to permit new apartment buildings, office space, homes, stores and much more!
🧑💻 The RoleWe’re hiring our first GTM Engineer to design and build the systems that power our go-to-market engine. This role blends marketing, sales ops, analytics, and engineering. This is a great opportunity for a technical builder who wants to shape how a company scales.
You’ll work at the intersection of AI and our GTM strategy: you’ll have the chance to leverage the latest AI-native tools and automation platforms to improve how our sales and marketing teams find prospects, qualify opportunities, and close deals.
As the first hire in this function, you’ll define how we approach GTM engineering and have broad exposure across the funnel from outbound campaigns to analytics and forecasting. Your work will directly accelerate revenue growth and shape Pulley’s commercial engine.
👋 What You'll DoBuild GTM Workflows: Automate outbound prospecting, lead scoring, and follow-ups using tools like Clay, Zapier, APIs, and AI-native platforms.
Supercharge Sales: Design pipelines that surface high-intent prospects, accelerate deal velocity, and improve forecasting accuracy.
Experiment & Iterate: Rapidly test new growth ideas (campaigns, content workflows, analytics dashboards) and double down on what works.
Connect the Stack: Own integrations across CRM, marketing tools, and sales systems to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate data.
Insights to Action: Use AI and analytics to uncover market opportunities, build ROI models, and provide decision support to GTM leaders.
Scale Learnings: Document workflows, templatize playbooks, and make your systems reusable across the org.
1–3 years of experience in GTM operations, growth, sales/marketing ops, or a technical role at a fast-moving company
Technical chops: Comfortable with APIs, webhooks, SQL, and automation platforms (Python/JavaScript a plus)
AI-native mindset: You’re scrappy and crafty with tools like Clay, Replit, Notion AI, Zapier, or custom GPT workflows
Builder mentality: You’ve hacked together workflows or automated processes to solve problems, not just run campaigns
Strong communicator: Can explain technical concepts clearly to sales, marketing, and leadership
Analytical: You’re data-driven and comfortable translating metrics into strategy and action
Experience in early-stage or zero-to-one GTM environments
Background in B2B SaaS or in a tech startup with a services oriented business model
Exposure to demand gen or growth marketing, but not pigeonholed into one channel
Certifications (Clay, Reforge, etc.) or side projects that show off your builder/automation mindset
A little humor — we’re serious about building, but we like to have fun!
