About ScholarshipOwl

ScholarshipOwl is the largest scholarship marketplace in the U.S., connecting over 14 million Gen Z students with private scholarships — and the brands that power them. Our mission is to make education financing more accessible and engaging, while giving brands a way to connect with the next generation.

We’re powered by AI technology that simplifies scholarship discovery, streamlines the application process, and delivers measurable results for both students and partners. Whether it’s helping students secure funding or enabling brands to run impactful campaigns, we’re reshaping how education is funded — and discovered.

The Role

We’re looking for a Growth Product Manager to take full ownership of the conversion engine at ScholarshipOwl, from the first visitor touchpoint through to a paid subscription. This is a high-impact, high-velocity role for someone who lives in the data, thrives on experimentation, and values action over perfection.

You will be the architect of our growth. You’ll spend your days identifying leaks in the funnel, hypothesizing solutions, and working alongside a dedicated pod of engineers and designers to ship experiments that move the needle on revenue and retention. If you are a "full-stack" growth thinker who can move from a Mixpanel cohort analysis to a detailed technical spec this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the Conversion Engine: Take end-to-end responsibility for the user journey, optimizing every step from landing page registration to paywall conversion and subscription retention.

  • Drive the Experiment Roadmap: Build, prioritize, and maintain a high-tempo experimentation backlog. You will use frameworks (like ICE or RICE) to ensure we are always working on the highest-leverage growth bets.

  • Analyze & Diagnose: Monitor funnel and retention metrics daily in Mixpanel. You’ll identify exactly where users are dropping off and perform deep-dive discovery to understand the why.

  • Ship with Velocity: Write precise product specs and acceptance criteria that allow engineering and design to execute independently. We prioritize shipping "good enough" tests today to get data, rather than waiting for "perfect" features next month.

  • Optimize Revenue Levers: Design and run pricing, paywall, and offer optimization tests. You’ll also evaluate new growth levers like organic loops, landing page personalization, and winback programs.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Lead a dedicated pod of engineers and designers, maintaining strong working relationships with our dashboard and B2B teams to drive unified sprint priorities.

  • Continuous Discovery: Conduct meaningful customer discovery interviews with our Gen-Z audience to uncover behavioral insights that data alone can’t show.

What We’re Looking For
  • 4+ years of Product Management experience, specifically in a **Growth-**focused role.

  • Experimentation Mastery: Proven track record of designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests that resulted in measurable improvements to business KPIs (CVR, ARPU, Churn).

  • Data Fluency: You are a power user of product analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar). You don't wait for a data analyst; you find the answers yourself.

  • SaaS/Subscription Expertise: You understand the nuances of subscription models—trial-to-paid transitions, renewal cycles, and friction-point reduction.

  • Technical Precision: Ability to write clear, "dev-ready" product specs and acceptance criteria. You understand technical trade-offs and how to scope an MVP.

  • Mentoring & Leadership: A mentoring and knowledge-sharing mindset with a desire to level up the broader team on growth methodologies and experimentation rigor.

  • Gen-Z Empathy: You have an intuition for (or experience with) B2C products targeting younger audiences and understand their unique digital behaviors.

  • Growth Mindset: You are comfortable with ambiguity, fast-moving environments, and the fact that 70% of experiments might fail—as long as we learn from them.

Bonus Points:
  • Experience with payment platforms (Stripe, Braintree) or Figma/prototyping tools.

  • Knowledge of lifecycle/email marketing, SEO, and paid acquisition channels.

  • Growth-focused certifications (e.g., Reforge).

  • Background in EdTech or student-facing products.

Why Join ScholarshipOwl?
  • Mission-Driven Work – Build technology that helps students unlock education opportunities.

  • Fully Remote – Work from anywhere while collaborating with a global team.

  • High Impact & Ownership – You aren't just a cog in a machine; you own the revenue engine.

  • Unlimited PTO – We value results over hours worked and trust you to manage your time.

  • Coworking Budget – $200/month to invest in your ideal coworking workspace.

  • Continuous Learning Culture – We support curiosity, experimentation, and growth.

  • Annual Company Off-sites – Connect with your teammates in person at various locations around the globe.

Ready to move the needle? Apply now and show us how you’d build the future of student growth.
