About the Role

As our Growth Marketing Manager, you will build and own our marketing engine from the ground up. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll create the programs, systems, and strategies that drive measurable pipeline for our enterprise sales team.

What You'll Do

Build Our Marketing Motion

  • Own our digital growth infrastructure, set and hit targets for traffic, demos, and conversions in partnership with Growth

  • Build our SEO program, content strategy, and website optimization from scratch

  • Drive content production: blogs, playbooks, landing pages that convert prospects to pipeline

  • Scale webinars and events: own setup, execution, and follow-up that drives ongoing revenue

  • Create lifecycle marketing programs and email campaigns that move prospects through the funnel

Drive Pipeline & Revenue

  • Implement true ABM programs for target accounts, working closely with BDRs and AEs on long sales cycles

  • Run high-ROI paid campaigns with strict performance accountability

  • Establish marketing analytics that track the full funnel from traffic to revenue

  • Build co-marketing initiatives and partnerships that expand reach

Set the Foundation for Scale

  • Manage our CMS, forms, tracking infrastructure, and experimentation framework

  • Define dashboards and attribution models that inform strategy across the business

  • Establish standards, processes, and best practices that will scale with the team

What We're Looking For

Required Background:

  • 5-8 years in B2B SaaS marketing with hands-on demand generation experience

  • Experience scaling through Series A to C/D at enterprise sales-led companies

  • Built pipeline without big brand backing, you know how to generate results from scratch

  • Deep experience across content, digital, paid, email, webinars, and events

  • Led small teams (1-4 people) while staying hands-on with execution

You Must Have:

  • Proven ability to drive pipeline in enterprise sales environments with long sales cycles and complex deals

  • Direct collaboration experience with BDRs and AEs, you understand how marketing drives sales outcomes

  • Technical proficiency with HubSpot, Salesforce, and marketing tools - you can build reports and optimize programs independently

  • Performance-driven mindset from a high-accountability marketing culture

  • Track record of building programs yourself, not just managing processes or people

You'll Thrive Here If:

  • You're equally comfortable setting strategy and executing in the trenches

  • You thrive working autonomously and figuring things out

  • You want direct impact on company trajectory, not just a defined role

  • You're opinionated about what works but ruthlessly data-driven

Recruitment process
  1. Initial Discovery call (30 min) — Get to know each other and discuss your background and interest in Mochi

  2. Skills deep-dive interview (2x30 min) — Walk through your digital marketing wins, technical capabilities, and approach to growth with our GTM team

  3. Case study presentation (45 min) — Present a take-home challenge to our Chief Growth Officer, demonstrating your strategic thinking and execution style

  4. Final conversation with founder & offer — Alignment on role, vision, and next steps

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
