About Writesonic

We're making Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) as essential as SEO. Our platform helps brands track and improve their visibility across AI search platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews.

We're YC-backed, profitable, and competing in a market where AI discovery is exploding.

About the Role

We're looking for an AI Growth Marketer: a generalist who orchestrates marketing with the help of AI and keeps pace with the rapid shifts in B2B marketing.

This is not a specialist role. You'll work across growth, content, and product marketing. You'll run campaigns end-to-end. You'll use AI to move faster than traditional marketers.

You'll report to the Head of Growth Marketing and work closely with me (Sam, founder).

What You'll Do

Campaign Orchestration

  • Design and run multi-channel campaigns that combine fuel (content, creative) with engine (distribution, channels) from brief to launch to optimization
  • Execute the details: upload ads, schedule emails, update landing pages, track performance

AI-Powered Execution

  • Use AI tools, workflows, and agents to extend your capabilities
  • Build automations that save time and scale output
  • Maintain a high quality bar while moving fast
  • Train others on AI tools and workflows

LinkedIn Flywheel Support

  • Help boost organic posts with Thought Leader ads
  • Capture and qualify LinkedIn engagers
  • Execute follow-up campaigns to warm audiences
  • Track and report on flywheel performance

Growth Infrastructure

  • Help implement and maintain marketing automation
  • Build dashboards and reports
  • Manage webinar and event logistics
  • Support sales enablement materials

Cross-Functional Work

  • Connect product, sales, and marketing efforts
  • Translate audience insights into campaigns
  • Support product launches with GACCS briefs
  • Jump in wherever needed (that's what generalists do)
The Profile We're Looking For

π-Shaped Marketer

Depth in 2 of the 3 sub-functions, fluency across all 3:

Sub-Function Examples Growth/Engine Paid ads, email, outbound, ABM, analytics Content/Fuel Writing, video, social, design basics Product Marketing Positioning, messaging, launches

Must-Haves

  • 2-5 years in B2B marketing (startup or agency preferred)
  • Hands-on experience running campaigns across multiple channels
  • Comfortable in ad platforms (LinkedIn, Google), email tools, and CMS
  • Uses AI tools daily for research, content, and automation
  • Strong project management skills
  • Fast learner, scrappy executor
  • Can work across tools without needing training on each one

AI Fluency (Non-Negotiable)

  • Power user of ChatGPT, Claude, or similar for daily work
  • Has built basic automations (Zapier, Make, or similar)
  • Comfortable learning new AI tools quickly
  • Treats AI as a multiplier, not a novelty

AI Marketer DNA

  • Runs campaigns end-to-end, not just pieces
  • Partners across functions without being asked
  • Uses AI to extend capabilities into new areas
  • Adapts quickly when channels or tactics stop working
  • High quality bar with scrappy execution

Nice-to-Haves

  • Agency background (used to shipping fast, working across clients)
  • Experience with Clay, Apollo, or GTM automation tools
  • Basic design skills (Figma, Canva)
  • Basic landing page skills (Webflow, Framer)
  • SEO or content marketing background
  • Startup experience

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
