ABOUT THE ROLE
Byte&Kite is a digital marketing agency helping clients across a range of industries grow through effective branding, creative and digital marketing. As a Graphic Designer, you will produce brand and campaign design across multiple client accounts, including digital ads, landing pages, social assets, pitch decks and occasional brand systems. You will work from written briefs with limited art direction, taking ownership of the creative process from initial concept through production-ready delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop creative concepts and visual directions based on client briefs, campaign goals and target audiences

  • Design campaign assets across digital, social and print for multiple client accounts

  • Create and adapt layouts for different formats, platforms and channels while maintaining visual consistency

  • Maintain and extend client brand systems, including typography, colour, imagery and graphic elements

  • Design landing pages, digital ads, social media assets, presentations and other marketing materials

  • Work from written briefs, asking the right questions before starting rather than after

  • Collaborate with copywriters, marketers, developers and other creative team members to bring campaigns to life

  • Present and defend design decisions directly to clients, explaining the thinking behind your creative choices

  • Incorporate client and internal feedback while protecting the overall quality and effectiveness of the design

  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines across different client accounts

  • Scope and estimate your own work, and flag when a brief will not fit the time available

  • Prepare and hand off production-ready files to developers, media buyers and other stakeholders

  • Keep design files organised and maintain consistent naming, versioning and asset management practices

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in an agency or fast-paced in-house environment

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating work across multiple brands, industries, formats and marketing channels

  • Strong understanding of composition, typography, colour, hierarchy, spacing and visual storytelling

  • Ability to translate a written brief and business objective into a clear and effective visual concept

  • Experience designing for digital marketing, including social media, paid advertising, landing pages and presentations

  • Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Ability to maintain and work within existing brand guidelines while knowing when and how to evolve them

  • Comfortable working with limited art direction and taking ownership of the design process from concept to final delivery

  • Able to articulate the reasoning behind a design decision and connect creative choices to the client's goals

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies before work reaches the client

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines

  • Able to receive, interpret and implement client feedback without losing sight of the original brief and design objectives

  • Clear communicator who is comfortable presenting creative work directly to clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams
