Job responsibilities:
- Support senior analysts in researching and analyzing trends in global energy markets, including oil, natural gas, renewables, and related commodities.
- Collect, organize, and interpret market data from various sources to identify key developments and opportunities.
- Prepare regular reports, presentations, and market summaries for internal and client use.
- Monitor news, policy changes, and industry events that impact energy markets.
- Assist in building and maintaining analytical models and databases.
- Collaborate with team members across research, sales, and trading to deliver timely insights.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and at least one programming language (such as Python, R, or SQL); familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, in-office environment, often under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working in dynamic settings and navigating ambiguity, with flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and schedules.
- Genuine interest in global energy markets and commodities.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience with advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Prior internship or project experience in energy, commodities, or financial markets.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
