Serve as the principal legal lead for Binance’s regulatory affairs on a global scale, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions and managing associated legal risks worldwide. Develop and execute Binance’s global regulatory legal strategy, aligning with evolving international laws, directives, and regulatory frameworks in the cryptocurrency and financial services sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Binance’s global regulatory legal team, providing strategic legal expertise and direction to address complex regulatory challenges across all regions.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine Binance’s global regulatory legal strategy to ensure compliance with diverse regulatory regimes and to proactively manage legal risks.
  • Act as the primary legal liaison with regulatory authorities worldwide, building and maintaining strong relationships to facilitate constructive dialogue and advance Binance’s regulatory interests.
  • Oversee the preparation, submission, and management of regulatory filings, licenses, permits, and approvals required for Binance’s operations in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of regulatory matters affecting Binance’s products, services, and business operations globally.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments across key markets, anticipate potential legal impacts, and advise senior management on necessary compliance measures and strategic legal responses.
  • Coordinate and lead legal responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, audits, and enforcement actions worldwide, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including compliance, risk, business development, and product to embed regulatory legal considerations into global business processes and product launches.
  • Drive the development and delivery of regulatory legal training and awareness programs for internal stakeholders globally to enhance the regulatory compliance culture across the organization.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and consultants globally to support regulatory matters and complex legal issues.
  • Oversee the global regulatory legal team’s operational functions, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to practice law in a leading jurisdiction with significant international regulatory legal experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in regulatory legal roles, preferably within technology, financial services, or cryptocurrency sectors.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex regulatory compliance issues and engaging with regulatory authorities across multiple jurisdictions globally.
  • Strong knowledge of global financial products, including spot and derivatives trading, payment systems, and digital assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute global regulatory strategies in a fast-evolving and highly regulated environment.
  • Experience leading and managing high-performing legal teams across multiple regions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with regulators, business leaders, and external counsel.
  • Deep understanding of the cryptocurrency industry and its regulatory landscape worldwide.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong business acumen combined with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to regulatory challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-pressure environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
