Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of Global Product Management, you will be responsible for leading the Stoody & Hard-facing product category as a strategic business unit. In this role, you will focus on driving market share growth and margin expansion through continuous product improvement, proactive portfolio management, and the development of new product initiatives for ESAB.

You will apply your industry expertise, technical acumen, and keen understanding of customer needs and market trends to consistently deliver above-market performance. This position requires a unique combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, blending business insight with technical depth to translate vision into results.

Collaboration across functions is essential. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including R&D, Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Marcom—to define product requirements, customer value propositions, and go-to-market strategies. As the champion for your product category, you will support internal alignment and external engagement, including customer meetings and the development of targeted channel strategies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain overall product plans for the assigned product platforms.  This requires a thorough review and analysis of current performance, portfolio health, supply chain, market needs, trends, and other data

  • Translating customer VOCs and ideas into product road maps.

  • Evaluation of product vision and scope to define high level and detailed requirements for product implementation. Interview user groups, meet with customers and develop use cases with the appropriate Regional Lead.

  • Analysis of incoming feature requests and customer needs translating data points investment business case.

  • Coordinate with other ESAB businesses to ensure solution selling - compatibility and efficiency of development.

  • Work with the R&D development team to ensure adherence to product vision and scope throughout development cycle, low volume manufacturing.  Hand off to ISC occurs when high volume manufacturing is sustained.

  • Work with project teams and Marcom to plan and execute product launches, including technical documentation, product webinars, promotional and related items.

  • Overall responsibility for each of the products in your product platform, from ideation to release.  This includes all aspects of functionality, quality, packaging, documentation etc.

  • Assist in and drive productivity savings through raw materials sourcing and strategic outsourcing projects.

  • Animate an effective management operating system to drive research on emerging needs, product solutions and innovative technologies.  Participate and drive knowledge sharing | ideation from data gathered at relevant trade shows, external customer meetings, benchmark exercises.

  • Support Sales, ISC and Manufacturing on product ramps & launches, to eliminate obsolescence and slow-moving inventory.  Passionately consolidate product GINs driving vitality and margin improvement

  • Ensure that relevant data and self-help portals are up to date, accurate and easily searchable.

  • Work with the Manufacturing, Sales, ISC and Marketing to undertake 80-20 analysis, addressing the bottom 20%.

  • Work with Sales, Marketing and Strategy to develop product pricing strategy for existing and new products.

  • Provide guidance and direction on the functional test plans as performed by Quality Assurance.

  • Work with the development team to create application engineering, product demos and product showcases helping to shape the content according to the customer and sector segmentation.

  • Manage feature requests during the lifecycle of the product lines, creating margin on the cost to serve and communalizing non-standard requests.

  • Leverage analytical tools to forecast raw material and vertical trends, coordinate with Sourcing to have most favored nation pricing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor Degree in Product Management, Master’s preferred

  • 8 years of relevant experience

  • Superior interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Demonstrable prior Team management

  • Effective communicator, adept at asking leading questions.

  • Curious agile learner

  • Clear understanding of the product-to-market process.

  • Strong creative and influence skills.

  • Ability to be forward thinking and analyze impacts of different scenarios on the existing products and their platforms.

  • Proficiency in project management

  • Proficient in business finance

  • Technology or business administration degree from an accredited educational institution in an appropriate field of study.

  • Ongoing and adequate experience in

  • Team management experience preferred.

Pay Range: 116,186.00 - 135,534.00
