U.S. Base Salary Range:
$174,500.00 - $274,230.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. We are seeking an experienced communications professional to lead strategic communications programs for GPD.
This position reports to the Head of GPD and Vaccines Communications within Global Communications/Global Corporate Affairs.
How you will contribute:
- You will build and execute strategic Executive Communication plans aligned with Takeda's vision and goals, including media engagements, LinkedIn management, crafting speeches and presentations, video content creation, and other executive narratives.
- You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, offering communication strategies to strengthen leadership presence, influence, and drive business impact.
- You will take ownership of Internal Communication aspects for events like Town Halls, Fireside Chats, and the Takeda Medical Directors Meeting.
- You will coordinate regularly with Communication leaders, including in Europe & Canada (EUCAN), Growth & Emerging Markets (GEM), China, and Vaccine Business Unit (VBU), to align global initiatives and amplify local and regional strategies.
- You will actively participate in Takeda's Global Communications community to build relationships, foster collaboration, and maximize the impact of communication efforts.
Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align communications with organizational goals.
- Proven ability to advise senior leaders effectively and build trust-based relationships.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills, fostering cross-functional partnerships across global and regional teams.
- Event planning and execution expertise for corporate meetings and engagements.
- Familiarity with digital platforms, including LinkedIn content creation and multimedia communication tools.
- Outstanding organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
