We are seeking a talented Global Market Manager (product manager) to join our team at a pivotal moment in our company's growth. This role is responsible for growing and maintaining the Shoulder Repair business globally through new product development, global strategy creation, and portfolio life cycle management. This individual will work with the global marketing network, including regional and in-country marketing teams to gain insight into local market dynamics, collecting voice of customer feedback, and consolidating input into the development of the Global Product Plan.

The Global Market Manager is responsible for developing a Global Product strategy for the shoulder sub-segment he/she oversees.

They will also serve as the Marketing function lead on new product development (NPD) teams. This person will prepare market assessments, business plans to support NPD programs, capture competitive intelligence, and develop relevant global market models to support their assigned product categories.

The Global Market Manager will work in collaboration with regional marketing leadership to develop initiatives and strategies that support the global selling organizations around the world. This includes tactics to drive global sales force readiness and achieve the global revenue targets for the Shoulder Repair focus product brands. 

What will you be doing?

  • Work under the leadership of the Senior Director of Global Marketing to implement the global shoulder repair strategy and achieve global revenue targets
  • Partnering with in-country marketing leadership to develop and drive the Global Product Strategy, which includes new product launches, new indication launches, product messaging, achieving revenue targets
  • Driving the 5-year vision of the shoulder repair segment (new product launches, product lifecycle management, and financial projections).
  • Develop and manage relationships with global marketing teams and consolidate voice of customer feedback
  • Providing leadership and guidance to regional marketing counterparts to develop and execute downstream marketing plans in support of the global marketing strategy.
  • Leading Limited product launch and full launch plan development
  • Developing and maintaining KPIs for measuring the success of NPLs and obsolescence of outdated technology
  • Developing training plans and content in support of the global marketing strategy
  • Works with manufacturing planners to forecast product needs and ensure adequate demo and launch inventory.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1+ years of commercial experience with the majority specific to the medical device industry. 
  • 1+ years marketing experience.
  • Proven experience developing business plans and financial models
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Travel Requirements:  25–35% (Domestic and International)

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 USD annually (or hourly) The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. In addition to base pay, we provide competitive bonus and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, parental leave, and generous PTO, paid company holidays annually and 8 hours of Volunteer time and a variety of wellness offerings such as EAP.
