About the Role 
 

At Abbott’s Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD), we are looking for a Global Market Access Biologics Lead to join our team in Basel. This is a highly visible role where you will shape strategies that ensure patients around the world have timely access to innovative therapies.

Your work will directly influence how life-changing biologics and biosimilars reach patients globally. You will collaborate with diverse teams across regions and functions, lead strategic pricing and access initiatives, and serve as a trusted expert in a dynamic, fast-evolving healthcare environment. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead global Market Access and Pricing Strategy development for biologics and biosimilars and market access input into brand and therapeutic area plans. 

  •  Lead engagement  with regional and country teams to develop local access strategies and enable successful launches. 

  • Drive strategic price positioning for new product evaluations and lifecycle events. 

  • Act as a center of expertise for biologics and biosimilars, especially in oncology. Develop resources for pre-launch and launch activities. 

  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams (marketing, medical affairs, supply chain, public affairs) as the Global Access leader to deliver launch excellence across markets. 

  • Partner with the other centers of excellence in the market access team (HEOR, Pricing, Tenders) to ensure evidence generation support value proposition, pricing governance follows the access and brand strategy, success in tender channel.  

  • Develop innovative solutions such as value-based agreements, patient access programs, and partnerships to accelerate access. 

  • Build strong relationships with global payer bodies and policy influencers to shape access environments. 

  • Develop and drive training and capability-building for regional and local market access teams. 

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Master’s degree in science, health economics, business analytics, or public health; PhD preferred. 

  • 8–10 years of experience in pharma/biotech, with a focus on launching innovative biologics and/or biosimilars , in  global or regional market access role. 

  • Strong scientific knowledge of oncology therapeutic area and treatments. 

  • Proven success in developing global access strategies and launch plans. 

  • Experience with pricing governance, reimbursement submissions, and patient access programs. 

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence diverse stakeholders. 

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
