Role Overview

As Global Community Lead at the Vana Foundation, you will be responsible for growing, engaging, and fostering meaningful relationships with Vana users, developers, and ecosystem partners. Your primary focus will be managing and scaling Vana’s Discord community, ensuring it remains an active and engaging hub for discussions, collaboration, knowledge-sharing and support. Additionally, you will lead the development of a global ambassador program, empowering community leaders to advocate for Vana’s mission and expand our reach around the world with digital and local IRL events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global community growth strategy with a strong emphasis on Discord engagement.

  • Manage and nurture relationships across key platforms, ensuring vibrant discussions and engagement.

  • Build, recruit, and manage a global ambassador community, equipping them with the necessary tools and incentives to advocate for Vana.

  • Organize and moderate community events, AMAs, and webinars, bringing thought leadership and engagement to Vana's ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and partnerships teams to drive community-driven initiatives, content, and campaigns.

  • Identify and activate community champions and advocates to amplify Vana’s mission and messaging.

  • Track and analyze community metrics, sentiment, and feedback to optimize engagement strategies.

  • Manage crisis communication and ensure transparent, timely, and thoughtful interactions with the community.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in community management, marketing, or a related field, preferably in Web3, AI, or decentralized technologies.

  • Deep understanding of Web3 culture, community dynamics, and the decentralized ecosystem.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, easily understood messages.

  • Proven experience in managing and growing Discord communities, including moderation, engagement strategies, and event hosting.

  • Proven experience leading moderation and technical support teams to triage and resolve issues in a timely and respectful manner.

  • Experience building and managing ambassador or advocacy programs.

  • Ability to think strategically while executing hands-on community engagement tactics.

  • Comfort with data analytics and ability to derive insights from community engagement metrics.

  • A passion for decentralization, AI, and data.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and global environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developer relations, customer support or working closely with open-source communities.

  • Familiarity with DAOs, decentralized governance, and incentive structures.

  • Multilingual skills are a plus.
