Job DescriptionThe Account to Report (A2R) process is a foundational, enterprise wide value stream that ensures the integrity, transparency, and timeliness of financial information across the organization. Spanning General Ledger, Close & Consolidation, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting, A2R underpins executive decision making, regulatory compliance, and external stakeholder confidence.
As business complexity, transaction volumes, and regulatory expectations continue to grow, traditional functional ownership is no longer sufficient. Bose is establishing a dedicated Business Process Owner – Account to Report to provide end-to-end accountability for the performance, design, and continuous transformation of the global A2R process. A defining aspect of this role is the applied use of process mining, advanced analytics, and AI enabled insights to create objective visibility into how financial close and reporting processes actually operate—and to drive fact based, cross functional improvement.
The Business Process Owner – Account to Report owns the global A2R process end to end, from transaction recording through financial close, consolidation, and external reporting. The role defines the process vision, operating model, performance metrics, and transformation roadmap, and serves as the single business authority for how A2R operates and evolves across the enterprise.
By leveraging process intelligence, advanced analytics, and applied AI, the BPO drives simplification, standardization, and scalability—ensuring that decisions related to process design, automation, controls, and digital enablement are grounded in data rather than local practices or functional silos.
End to End Process Ownership
Own global A2R process standards, controls, and performance outcomes across regions and business units.
Establish governance to prioritize improvements, manage dependencies, and resolve cross functional issues.
Act as the single point of accountability for A2R process effectiveness, compliance, and transparency.
Performance Management & Insights
Define and manage A2R KPIs, including close cycle time, manual journal entry rates, reconciliation completeness, post close adjustments, and audit findings.
Use process mining to identify bottlenecks, rework, control gaps, and deviations from standard close practices.
Translate insights into quantified improvement opportunities and a prioritized, value based roadmap.
Process Optimization & Reengineering
Lead continuous improvement and end-to-end redesign across record to report activities, including close, consolidation, intercompany, and reporting.
Identify root causes of delays, errors, and compliance risks, and validate sustained impact over time.
Partner with Finance, IT, and Data teams to enable simplified, standardized, and scalable financial processes.
Applied AI & Automation
Champion AI enabled and intelligent automation use cases across the A2R lifecycle.
Prioritize opportunities such as predictive close risk identification, automated reconciliations, anomaly detection, and intelligent journal entry validation.
Ensure solutions deliver measurable business outcomes while aligning with governance, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Change & Stakeholder Leadership
Drive adoption through structured change management, communication, and capability building.
Influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Audit, Compliance, and Technology without direct authority.
Foster a data driven, continuous improvement mindset within global finance operations.
Education and experience
10+ years of experience in Record to Report, Financial Close, Controllership, Business Process Management, or related roles.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field required.
Proven ownership of complex, cross functional, end-to-end finance processes in a global environment.
Handson experience with process mining, process intelligence, or advanced analytics applied to finance operations.
Demonstrated success leading process transformation, automation, or digital finance initiatives.
CPA, MBA, or advanced degree preferred.
